An Organically-Grown Ornamental, Perfect for Robust Blueberries Down South

The Powderblue Blueberry Bush is synonymous with rich, robust growth and bold blueberries that thrive down South. Perfect for healthful growth and fresh fruit in zones 7-9, the Powderblue Blueberry is heat tolerant and only requires around 500 chill hours. Its vigorous growth in moderate to hot temperatures makes it an easy Southern staple.

Known for their sweet-tart blueberries and powdery-blue, namesake hue, Powderblue Blueberry Bushes are a luxuriant landscape staple that moonlight as your own backyard orchard and supermarket substitute. The bountiful blueberries from this bush are incredibly nutritious, loaded with antioxidants and vitamins for guilt-free snacking. And they’re perfectly firm on the outside with a soft, juicy inside – making them a mouthwatering summertime treat. Huge harvests also mean you’ll have plenty to share!

Best of all, the Powderblue Blueberry Bush stays healthful and happy with very little maintenance. Minimal pest management and pruning are needed for this drought-tolerant variety. And its dense, hedge-like silhouette grows to 6-8 feet in height with a smattering of diminutive white and pink blooms in spring. These flourishing flowers give way to the light blue-hued blueberries you love in the summer. Season to season, the Powderblue Blueberry Bush is a lush landscape must-have.

Though it needs another variety of rabbiteye blueberry to grow, it’s organic and meticulously nurtured for effortless care, so no harsh sprays or chemicals are required. It’s all-natural and already primed for long-term durability from the start.

Order your organic Powderblue Blueberry Bush today for a sweet garden addition that endures from season to season!

Great plant and highly recommend blueberry plants from them!
It is the healthiest and best looking blueberry plant I’ve ever bought. All other plants I’ve purchased locally and lost 50% of them!Would highly recommend them!I will buy other plants from them.

Looking good
I received different trees/plants and they were all in good shape upon delivery. The Powderblue Blueberry was a bit sad and in the Texas heat was struggling. I put it under our big porch for sun in morning and shade in afternoon, watered it everyday (Texas heat takes the moisture out quick) and it has brand new leaves and is reviving very well. Definitely will be buying from them again!

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Powderblue Blueberry - USDA Organic

Powderblue Blueberry - USDA Organic Planting Diretions

You can plant your Powderblue Blueberry in your garden or in a pot. Either way, you'll need to make sure it gets full sun and the soil is well drained and acidic. If you plant in your garden, be sure to leave 10ft. of space between your other plants. Birds love blueberries too, so make sure you use a garden net to get the most out of your harvest.

Watering: Powderblue Blueberries are drought tolerant, but need to be watered once a week during the first year. Don't overwater the bush. The roots are very shallow and can easily drown.

Fertilization: Once you see leaves on your plant, you can add some acidic fertilizer. Once your plant is fully mature, you can fertilize it once a year in June and again in the fall if it didn't harvest well.

Pruning: You won't need to prune your Powderblue Blueberry unless you want to manage the size and shape of the hedge. If so, prune in late winter.

Pollination: This is not a self-fertile plant and will need another variety of Rabbiteye blueberry to thrive. We recommend the Premiere Blueberry.

When to pick: Your blueberries are ready to pick and eat when they fall right into your hand. When they easily fall off without plucking, then they're perfectly ripe. Blueberries will last 1 week in your fridge, but you'll need to freeze them if you don’t eat them in a week.
