Forsythia shrubs give you great color not only in the spring, but in the fall months as well. In early spring, your Lynwood Gold Forsythias will produce an abundance of bright yellow flowers... signaling to everyone that spring has arrived.
This floral display against its deep green foliage is nothing short of amazing. You get another showing of fabulous color in the fall, when its leaves turn bright yellow with a hint of orange and red.
- Plant these trees in rows for a vibrant display of color and unbeatable coverage.
- Plant them alone as colorful ornamental plants.
- Plant for coverage as a privacy screen or hedge.
With a growth rate of 2 to 4 feet per year, your forsythia will quickly fill any space, anywhere. These Lynwood Gold Forsythias are virtually carefree - you don't have to be an expert to get outstanding results!
Just plant these shrubs wherever you want tons of color... sit back... and enjoy the show! We do recommend a light pruning after the leaves have dropped to give it good shape and consistent growth.

Arrived in fairly good condition but is now wilting significantly even with watering. Have stopped watering to see if it's been over-watered. Hopeful it will survive.
Waiting for them to grow and bloom
These were smaller than expected and One appeared dead but it is better now. I look forward to these getting fuller and bling
Eight small Forsythia plants
Plants are thriving. Needed 'deer repellent' to discourage the herd. Seem to have rooted nicely. Hope to flourish and survive the test of time.
My new bush arrived looking great. We planted it as instructed. Unfortunately we didn't remember to 'cage' it and the deer took a mighty interest. We enclosed it with chicken wire and now it is doing fabulously with lot's of new growth. We also planted a Burning Bush at the same time with similar results. Very hardy plants. I have recommended FGT several times already.
First spring for this plant. Kentucky had so many ups and downs in temps did not see blooms but the plant is healthy and growing maybe next spring. Lack of blooms this year 3 stars ask me again Spring of 2019 (I have faith) that number will probably bump up.
Planting & Care
Lynwood Gold Forsythias will adapt to your natural soil even if it's sandy or heavy in clay as long as it's well draining. Once established Lynwood Gold Forsythias will only need to be watered during times of prolonged drought. Usually rain fall provides enough moisture.
In the Early Spring fertilize your Lynwood Gold Forsythia with a fertilizer that's high in phosphorous and prepare for the show. Vibrant yellow blooms will emerge every Spring. There's also an encore performance in the Fall when your Lynwood Gold Forsythia leaves will turn from green to bright yellow.
