Lynwood Gold Forsythia
Great Forsythia !!
Our Forsythias came in great shape. Had to wait a week before placing in the ground. Looking wonderful weeks later. Will make a nice addition to the yard.
For the same price, I brought the same plant at HomeDepot. I need two but they only had one left so I ordered the second one from Fast Growing Trees. When the plant arrived, it was a huge disappointment . All the branches were dead down to the base except for only two skinny branches. I wish they would e-mail pictures of the plant prior to shipping. Would never buy from this site again. I wish I can post pictures for comparison.
We completely understand your concerns! This plant is a deciduous plant is just starting to leaf back out. It will continue to leaf out over the next few weeks and fill in very nicely. Please reach out to us by the end of May if it doesn't fully leaf back out and we'll be happy to cover it!
Arrived in fairly good condition but is now wilting significantly even with watering. Have stopped watering to see if it's been over-watered. Hopeful it will survive.
Planting & Care
Lynwood Gold Forsythias will adapt to your natural soil even if it's sandy or heavy in clay as long as it's well draining. Once established Lynwood Gold Forsythias will only need to be watered during times of prolonged drought. Usually rain fall provides enough moisture.
In the Early Spring fertilize your Lynwood Gold Forsythia with a fertilizer that's high in phosphorous and prepare for the show. Vibrant yellow blooms will emerge every Spring. There's also an encore performance in the Fall when your Lynwood Gold Forsythia leaves will turn from green to bright yellow.
