Planting & Care
2. Watering: Water your Sonic Bloom® regularly during the first growing season, or about once per week. You may need to water more often during times of extreme heat. But if you’re not sure when to water your Weigela, however, simply check the soil about 2 to 3 inches down – if the soil is dry here, it’s time to water.
3. Pruning: Pruning is not necessary for your Sonic Bloom® Weigela – simply space your plantings to allow your Weigela to grow naturally. If you want a more formal appearance, prune annually after the second flowering period at the end of summer.
4. Fertilizer: Fertilize your Sonic Bloom® with a slow-release solution before new growth begins in the spring.

Customer Reviews & Photos
So far, so good. The shrubs appear to be in very good shape and were well taken care of before they were shipped to me.
My mom loves it!
I bought this for my mom in the Spring of 2020. She lives in zone 5. It gets lots of sun but they don’t have a lot of really hot days. In the spring of 2021 it bloomed profusely. She said people in the neighborhood were commenting on it. It has continued to bloom throughout the summer reliably. (Although not as much as it did in the spring.) It is also tripled in size since she planted it. The only thing I would say about this type of shrub is that it isn’t a very neat shrub. It’s kind of messy because it has long stems that spread out. That’s true of this type of shrub in general though and it’s not specific to this particular variety.
Very healthy shrub!
