Lilac Trees

We carry a large variety of lilac trees, with blooms ranging from white to vibrant purple, but our most popular lilac trees are the Bloomerang Lilac Tree, Miss Kim Lilac Tree, and Dwarf Korean Lilac Tree.

Lilac trees are tough, long-lived, and extremely drought-tolerant plants, making them perfect for areas where rainfall can be scarce. Newly planted lilacs need to be watered once or twice a week until established. Afterward, natural rainfall will suffice, and they will only need to be watered during prolonged dry spells.

Most lilac trees bloom between April and June. However, if you want a longer blooming season, consider a Bloomerang Lilac Tree. This popular lilac variety blooms in mid-May and again from July until the first frost.

Lilac trees come in multiple sizes, from dwarf varieties to medium-sized trees, but it’s unlikely you’ll spot a lilac tree more than 30 feet tall. The sizes of our most popular lilac trees include: 

• Ivory Silk Japanese Lilac Tree: 20-25 feet tall and 15-20 feet wide
• Miss Kim Lilac Tree:  6-8 feet tall and 6-8 feet wide
• Bloomerang Lilac Tree: 6-7 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide
• Dwarf Korean Lilac Tree:  5-7 feet tall and 5-7 feet wide
