Set Your Winter Landscape Ablaze in Fire-Red Color
Why Red Twig Dogwood Shrub?
It's a shrub that sparks conversation...with fantastic winter color, weather adaptability, and drought tolerance, the Red Twig Dogwood is truly one-of-a-kind.
In spring, you get attractive white flowers. Summer brings a well-shaped shrub with beautiful green leaves. And finally, fall starts warming up with red fall foliage. Come winter, the leaves drop, exposing the Red Twig's amazing bright red bark, living up to its name.
Use the Red Twig Dogwood as a privacy screen or even as a foundation hedge. It makes an attractive large shrub all by itself but is definitely most dramatic when several are planted together. Thriving in full sun or shade (but getting the most vibrant color with more sun), the Red Twig is a hardy, thriving selection that's second to none.
It's a hardy, drought-tolerant shrub that also does well in soggy areas. It's not fussy about soil and withstands the coldest conditions, anywhere in the country. You can even bring the flaming red stems inside for floral arrangements or as decoration at those festive holiday dinners...or plant one outside a window to enjoy its carefree, spectacular form year-round.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: In terms of sunlight requirements, Red Twigs will tolerate partial shade, but their signature red bark will be brightest if they are planted in full sun (6 to 8 hours of sunlight daily) and well-drained soil. If you live in zone 8, plant choose a location that is more protected from the sun with good airflow
Dig your planting hole twice the width of the root ball and just as deeply enough so that it's level with the surrounding area. Remove the plant from the container by gently tapping on the ground and easing the plant out of the container.
Place the shrub in the planting hole and backfill with your blend of native and gardening soil and gently tap down to secure the plant. Water the planting site to settle the soil then mulch to retain soil moisture.
2. Watering: Create a mulch barrier around the tree's trunk at planting. Keep the mulch five or six inches away from the trunk itself to help the tree retain water. Water the Red Twig thoroughly once or twice weekly - if you're not sure when to water, simply check the surrounding soil about 2 or 3 inches down. If the soil is dry here, it's time to water.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.

Customer Reviews & Photos
The plant is excellent & even better than expected! There was some confusion over the selection/order but was cleared up by phone. My overall experience was quite good & I would order again from FastGrowingTrees.
Arrived very green and healthy! Has lost no leaves and actually is growing multiple new branches! Love it!
Valuable additions to the surroundings
They have gone through some tough transition due to the unusual extreme heat during the delivery but they are doing better. I see the colors of their leaves and stems are quite outstanding. I cannot see them change the colors throughout many years to come. I recommend this shrub to anyone who wants to beautify their landscaping with seasonal multi-colors with easy maintenence.
Tough lil’ dogwoods
Ordering tiny saplings in the middle of a texas heatwave is not the smartest thing I’ve done, but a month of constant watering I went ahead and planted, lots of TLC and a soaker hose they are still alive and showing new growth … at this rate can’t wait to get the rest I need and enjoy their fall and winter show
So far so good
The bushes we considerably smaller than I anticipated. Yes the site said 1 quart , however I was expecting something slightly larger than the 12-14” or at least more developed than what we received. It’s probably not the best time to judge as we are in a heat wave along with the rest of the country. Had I realized the size I would have waited longer to order. Nevertheless the product arrived in good shape and when expected. The package was a little beat up but that’s more of the shipping company than the sender. Overall I’m hoping for a good experience.
