All winterberry hollies have male and female varieties; this male shrub does not produce the traditional showy red fruit of female hollies, but serves its purpose to pollinate female varieties which produce the iconic berry. Male and female plants must be present in order for the females to produce fruit. Simply tuck the less showy Mr. Poppins within 50 feet of female varieties Like Berry Heavy® or Berry Poppins®, and it will attract pollinators like bees and butterflies to ensure fruit. Dead of Winter, good so far
The Mr. Poppins Holly shrub came very well packaged and the shrub and pot look to be in very good condition. Since it is dormant, I will have to wait to review it's overall health for just a few weeks. But I will say, I'm very pleased with all my previously purchased plants and trees from Fast Growing Trees.

Received fine. Not sure when to plant very small plants and now winter with cold nights. Wonder if ok to wait till spring to plant.
Healthy, but very small considering the price
This plant arrived healthy, but it is much smaller than I was expecting for the price. In the future I will purchase shrubs in person from a local nursery.
