Huge Lavender Blooms Delight Each Spring
Why Lavender Rhododendrons?
Rhododendrons are famous for their huge clusters of vibrant lavender flowers (8 to 10 flowers each), but most people don't know how easy they are to grow. In fact, the Lavender is drought tolerant, highly adaptable and versatile...meaning it grows almost anywhere, despite its elegant, lush appearance.
In fact, the National Arbor Day Foundation calls it one of America's most beautiful plants. Your new Rhododendrons will complement any landscape design with its explosion of purple flowers against a backdrop of glossy, leather-like foliage.
Its round growth habit makes it ideal to plant in groupings with the promise of stunning color in the spring months. When it comes to the Lavender Rhododendron, there's nothing you can't do.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Lavender Rhododendron in an area that receives full to partial sunlight (4 to 6 hours of sunlight daily). For a hedge, plant your Lavender Rhododendrons about three feet apart.
Dig a hole about twice the size of your shrub's root ball, place your shrub, backfill the soil and mulch the surrounding soil. Finally, water the area to settle the roots.
2. Watering: Give your Lavender Rhododendron a deep watering once your soil feels dry to the touch, down about two inches.
3. Fertilizing: You'll know that spring has arrived when beautiful purple flowers emerge on your Lavender Rhododendron. After your flowers have bloomed, fertilize your Lavender Rhododendron with an acidic fertilizer for an acid-loving shrub.

Customer Reviews & Photos
Great experience so far.
Website was thorough in description of plant with planting instructions. I purchased 5 shrubs and all were intact during shipping. We planted them per instructions with the rooting agent. It's been 2 weeks since they've been planted and so far they appear to be doing well. We're hoping they'll be well rooted before any bad winters come. If they survive til next spring, I'll definitely be purchasing again from FGT.
