Can't complain about this tree best looking tree out of my 6 tree order
Not hi quality
pros: budget pricing- Wide selection- fast convenient delivery Cons: ordered two red oaks- planted promptly and have watered daily, one tree is barely alive, has lost half its leaves, and the others are half brown. not sure if it will make it through the summer. the other also looks sickly but not as stressed from the planting. not the highest quality, but you will save money if your trees survive
Love my trees
I bought 3 last year and they're all doing well. In the past I tried some bare root ones from another company but they didn't last. Just got 3 more this year & 1 was damaged in shipment. Very easy replacement process & they were wonderful about it. I will definitley keep ordering from here in the furure.
Still Possibly Alive.
The processing and payment went very smooth and the shipment was great. The trees arrived in great condition and I saw no visible damage and everything looked in order.I gave it four star only because I will have to wait until spring to see if my trees will make it through winter. As of right now they look died. Shortly after planting all the leaves turned brown the stems grew rigid and they appear to be dead. I hope that is not the case.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Red Oak in a spot in your yard that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day. And pick a spot that will give this tree plenty of room to grow. Avoid places near power lines or buildings. You'll want to give this tree at least 50' of space.
Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the root ball. After you plant the tree, tamp down the soil until it is firm. Thoroughly water the base of the tree so that water penetrates the roots. Spread a good amount of mulch around the base of the tree to retain moisture.
2. Watering: Water the tree to keep the ground moist. Watering deeply, once a week, should be enough to help your young tree establish roots. Once your tree matures, you only need to water in the dry seasons where you get less than 1 inch of rainfall per month.
3. Fertilizing: f you notice that your tree is not growing 2 feet every year, you can add a general purpose fertilizer once a year.
