The Classic Birch with a Cold Hardy, Colorful Twist

Why Royal Frost® Birch Trees?

Vibrant purple foliage meets eye-catching exfoliating bark, making the Royal Frost® unlike any other. And since it boasts an upright, pyramidal habit, it's truly one-of-a-kind when it comes to your typical shade tree.

This lush tree offers vivid perks from season to season, making it even better. The sleek white bark during the winter months means nearly year-round visual interest, despite its deciduous nature.

Burgundy foliage emerges in the springtime, transitioning to deep purple and changing again to dramatic dark red in the winter. That means you get a showy tree that delights year-round, transforming drab wintry yards to landscapes worthy of front-page features.

Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better

The Royal Frost® Birch is a must-have for more than just its appearance. Because this variety has been hand-picked, nurtured from day one and shipped with care, it’s a proven performer. You can be sure of its fine quality since it’s chosen by expert horticulturists and meticulously monitored at the nursery for consistent shape and size.

Your Birch Tree has been cultivated with your benefit in mind, so no green thumb is no problem. Upgrade your landscape with your own Royal Frost® Birch Tree today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Choose a location for your Royal Frost® Birch Tree with full sun to partial shade (meaning the location receives at least 4 to 8 hours of sunlight each day). Also, the planting area’s soil should be somewhat moist though still well-drained.

When you’re ready to plant, start by digging a hole that’s at least two to three times the size of your tree’s root ball. After placing your Birch Tree, backfill the soil, tamp down to ensure air pockets are eliminated, and water.

2. Watering: Because the Royal Frost® Birch Tree needs consistently moist soil, it’s important to water weekly or consider using a soaker hose or bark mulch. The root zone for your tree should be cool and moist, but it does tolerate some dryness in the soil.

3. Pruning: The Royal Frost® Birch Tree needs very little pruning, but if pruning is necessary for your landscape, prune it during the dormant season.

Fast shipping and beautiful tree

The tree arrived fast and safely. The ~6ft tree was topped to fit inside the box. It was shipped once it started going dormant due to the time of the year. I did experience an issue with free shipping no longer being free upon purchase. However, I would definitely buy from the website again.

Doubled In Size One Year In!

I ordered a 6-7ft version in May 2021. It's now August 2022 and this is certainly a Fast Growing Tree! It's about doubled in size and close to 12 feet tall. Described colors are true - beautiful burgundy foliage emerges in the spring, transitioning to purple and then dark green in the summer, followed by red foliage in the fall. Plant in good sunlight and water well.

Nicely packaged, tree was a little stressed (its to be expected), but over all just so happy with it.
