The Classic Birch with a Cold Hardy, Colorful Twist
Why Royal Frost® Birch Trees?
Vibrant purple foliage meets eye-catching exfoliating bark, making the Royal Frost® unlike any other. And since it boasts an upright, pyramidal habit, it's truly one-of-a-kind when it comes to your typical shade tree.
This lush tree offers vivid perks from season to season, making it even better. The sleek white bark during the winter months means nearly year-round visual interest, despite its deciduous nature.
Burgundy foliage emerges in the springtime, transitioning to deep purple and changing again to dramatic dark red in the winter. That means you get a showy tree that delights year-round, transforming drab wintry yards to landscapes worthy of front-page features.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a location for your Royal Frost® Birch Tree with full sun to partial shade (meaning the location receives at least 4 to 8 hours of sunlight each day). Also, the planting area’s soil should be somewhat moist though still well-drained.
When you’re ready to plant, start by digging a hole that’s at least two to three times the size of your tree’s root ball. After placing your Birch Tree, backfill the soil, tamp down to ensure air pockets are eliminated, and water.
2. Watering: Because the Royal Frost® Birch Tree needs consistently moist soil, it’s important to water weekly or consider using a soaker hose or bark mulch. The root zone for your tree should be cool and moist, but it does tolerate some dryness in the soil.
3. Pruning: The Royal Frost® Birch Tree needs very little pruning, but if pruning is necessary for your landscape, prune it during the dormant season.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.

Customer Reviews & Photos
Was super impressed with the arrival of a 6ft tree in a secure box! The tree was completely undamaged despite traveling from east to west coast. Came in a nice light burlap sack with soil and moisture to help maintain it for the distance. Thanks and will be purchasing other trees in the future.
Great, prompt and easy.
Still small but growing every day. Tree was very healthy when it arrived with tons of branches and a strong base.
My Royal Frost Birch trees came packages very well and in perfect condition. They were gently staked with bamboo stakes. I bought two of the 5-6 ft size and they are a very delicate beautiful tree. I hesitated buying these at first because they couldn't guarantee me that I would receive a multi-trunk tree. I finally decided to go ahead with the order and to my great surprise both of my trees each had 4 trunks. I am so happy and glad I ordered them. I've already planted them in their new home in a brand new garden bed around my deck where I am sure I will enjoy watching them grow.
