Customer Reviews & Photos
Just planted them, if they do as well as my other aspens they are well worth the money. They looked very strong and healthy for sitting in a box for a week. Hope they make it.
Trees came promptly and were in good shape. They look great in my backyard.
Beautiful Healthy Tree
Tree arrived with lots of leaves and very healthy. The size I purchased was in a grow sack and was super easy planting. I also used the Root Rocket Fertilizer as directed. The hardest thing was digging the hole to place the tree in. Even though the tree was taller than my 73 year old self, I got it done. Ecstatic to say the tree weathered well over the winter here in Southwest PA Zone 6 and is sprouting lots of leaves! The Quaking Aspen is the second tree that a purchased from Fast Growing Trees.com and I’m extremely satisfied with the experience. Highly recommend this company.
So far so good
First time buying from this company. All went well on that end. Shipping was prompt package received good shape trees were alive when put in the ground late fall in Central PA. I am in zone 6 which is now Zone 7, and have struggled with Quakers in my yard. All have been bare root and none have survived. This is the first online container attempt. I planted three Aspen in containers from local Nursery 2 years ago at clients house and they are still doing very well. I have high hopes for the container plan because the roots have not been severed. Tree had been topped to fit in the Box so it probably was closer to eight or nine feet tall maybe even 10. Good size tree looks healthy I have high hopes for this planting. Bought a package of root rocket but forgot to put it in the hole so will do so in the spring before green up. I did put some 10-10-10 in the dirt so it did get a little rooting help before going to sleep for winter
It's early but confidence is high.
Very good experience. The order was fulfilled promptly and the tree was received in good order.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: If you are experiencing extreme heat, place your potted tree in a well-shaded area, such as a garage, or plant it in a well-shaded area in your lawn.
When you're ready to plant, select a full sun location receiving 6+ hours of direct sun. The Quaking Aspen is quite adaptable to many soil types but require well-draining soil. Dig your hole two times the width and depth of the root system of the plant your are working with. Hold the tree straight as you begin back filling the hole with your gardening/native soil mixture. Once the hole has been completely filled, water the area to settle the soil and then mulch to help keep weeds and grass.
2. Watering: During the first year, make sure your tree gets water during extended dry spells, particularly in the summer months. Drooping leaves are a sign of both over or under watering, so take great care of your tree. Generally, watering once weekly should be fine.
3. Fertilizing: Use 10-10-10 or 20-20-20 fertilizer formula. Avoid fertilizing the tree directly. Instead, fertilize the tree’s soil.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately, however we are currently experiencing delays and could take up to 7-10 days from date of purchase. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.
