Enjoy Blooms in Spring, Autumn, and Winter
Why Autumn Cherry Trees?
Delivering bright blooms when other trees are bare or brown, the Autumn Cherry takes springtime to unmatched heights. In fact, it offers delicate pale-pink blooms all season, especially since it's one of the cold hardiest flowering varieties available.
The Autumn is even drought tolerant. Through frigid weather and dry conditions, the Autumn Cherry Tree's semi-double blooms burst with color and appear again in the fall when other trees are losing their leaves. Even better is the fact that the tree can bloom again during warm winters, while other trees are dormant.
Despite its delicate, light blooms, it's unbelievably strong. Add color to your front yard, driveway borders, or even small plant beds. No matter where it grows, the Autumn Cherry lends a stunning pop of vibrancy with virtually no upkeep.

Customer Reviews & Photos
I bought a 6-7’ autumn cherry. This was my first time buying from FGT, Though I have searched their site many times before. I needed to replace a flowering pear tree that was in my front yard that I lost last winter in a windstorm. I was torn over what type of tree to get, in reading about the autumn cherry and understanding that it can bloom twice a year and grows fairly quickly I was very interested. I elected for the largest one they had because I wanted to ensure fast growing and something nice to look at rather than a small sapling. It came packaged with care, the FedEx driver was very careful removing it from the truck. It actually showed up on a Sunday when I was in the front yard digging the hole for it. We both had a good laugh about that. I noticed that some branches were sticking out of the top of the box! :-) That made me happy as they were green leaves on it. I also ordered the staking kit, and the planting soil (what the heck, I might as well give it its best chance) When I open the box up, I was very pleased to see that they were lots of flowers already on the tree and healthy looking green leaves all over. I followed the instructions planting, and I am feeling very good about it’s chances as I received a very nice looking tree. If anything changes I will update this review. For now I am extremely pleased.
have no sign of life yet. only been two weeks. jury still out
It's completely normal for your tree to still be dormant this time of year. Just let us know as the weather warms up if it fails to leaf out and we'll be happy to help!
I placed the order for one autumn cherry tree on 9/21/2019. Tree was received on 9/26 and planted on 9/27. Today is 10/8/2019. Within two weeks, it has blossomed couple beautiful flowers. By the way, I am in north Dallas, TX.
Just received yesterday along with several other species of trees. The cherry was packed well just like the others, but it was in a smaller pot than the dogwoods. Much of the dirt had come out of the pot during shipping. I was a little surprised that the root ball seems small and much of the soil is loose which leaves a root ball that looks more bare root than something you can easily take straight from the pot to the ground without it falling apart. I plan to plant it this weekend, and am hopefully it survives and thrives. I will update my review after it has been in the ground awhile, and I know better how it is doing.
First tree was damaged during shipping as it was delivered upside-down & uncovered roots. They quickly sent 2 replacement trees of greater size!! Amazing!! A +++
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a location with well-drained soil and full to partial sunlight (at least 4 hours of sunlight daily).
Dig your hole just as deep and twice as wide as the root ball. Leave a small mound of dirt in the center of the hole to set the root ball on and carefully spread the roots in the hole. Place your tree, backfill the soil, and water to settle the roots. Ensure that your tree's crown isn't covered by soil...only its root ball should be covered.
Finally, mulch the surrounding soil to conserve moisture.
2. Watering: Water your Autumn when the top 2 inches of soil dries (a slow trickle with a garden hose for about 10 to 15 minutes is recommended).
3. Fertilizing: After the first two years of growth, fertilize the tree with nitrogen. Apply 1/10 pound of actual nitrogen per year for each year of the tree’s age, with a maximum of 1 pound per year. Apply once in the spring, or spread the nitrogen amount into 2 to 4 equal applications over the spring and summer seasons.
4. Pruning: Remove the current year’s old, faded flowers and fruit clusters to promote flower buds for the following season. Prune away any dead or damaged branches in winter.
