Customer Reviews & Photos
I bought my cherry blossom tree in August 2018 looked sad when I got it out of the box planted it gave it some love and before winter was looking better it didn't grow much the next summer maybe 2 or 3 inches we had a mild winter in lower Michigan and this summer its grown out 6 to 7 inches looks like it's just a slow starter
It was delivered quickly after being shipped. So far both trees have been a week of extreme heat and a week of extreme rain. They look Great!
Everything was done in a timely manner. The trees's roots were tied up inside a brown bag, the trees were a bit stressed. But as soon they arrived, we planted them. And in 2 days, the trees looked very lively & strong. So, I'm very happy with them. So far after two weeks, they look healthy.
I ordered the time April 19 and it arrived today. Plant Arrived in very good condition. Let’s see how it’ll go. Summer just started. live here in North Las Vegas
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a location with well-drained soil and full to partial sunlight (at least 4 hours of sunlight daily).
Dig your hole just as deep and twice as wide as the root ball. Leave a small mound of dirt in the center of the hole to set the root ball on and carefully spread the roots in the hole. Place your tree, backfill the soil, and water to settle the roots. Ensure that your tree's crown isn't covered by soil...only its root ball should be covered.
Finally, mulch the surrounding soil to conserve moisture.
2. Watering: Water your Okame when the top 2 inches of soil dries (a slow trickle with a garden hose for about 10 to 15 minutes is recommended).
3. Fertilizing: After the first two years of growth, fertilize the tree with nitrogen. Apply 1/10 pound of actual nitrogen per year for each year of the tree’s age, with a maximum of 1 pound per year. Apply once in the spring, or spread the nitrogen amount into 2 to 4 equal applications over the spring and summer seasons.
4. Pruning: Remove the current year’s old, faded flowers and fruit clusters to promote flower buds for the following season. Prune away any dead or damaged branches in winter.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately, however we are currently experiencing delays and could take up to 11-14 days from date of purchase. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.
