Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Lemon Crest Cypress Standard

Lemon Crest Cypress Standard Planting Diretions

Planting Instructions: Plant your Lemon Crest Cypress in well-draining soil and place it in a spot that receives 6-8 hours of full sun each day. You do not need to amend your soil with anything as the Lemon Crest is very tolerant of most soil conditions. If planting outdoors, be sure to plant in a spot that is protected from cold, harsh winds in a hole that is big enough to cover the root ball. Water deeply immediately after planting.

Watering: Water only when the first 1-2" of soil is completely dry. The amount of watering you will need to do depends on the climate you live in. Do not overwater.

Fertilization: You can add a 20-20-20 slow release fertilizer before each spring, though it is not necessary.

Pruning: Prune lightly to maintain the shape of your Lemon Crest. Only prune during spring each year. If planting in a container, re-plant in a new container every 4 years.
