Product Description

Classic Hydrangea Benefits in a New Hue

Why Summer Crush Hydrangeas?
With Summer Crush, you get the full, big-leaf growth and dimensional blooms of your favorite variety in a brand-new hue. The Summer Crush Hydrangea features a reddish-pink tone that’s not usually seen from this specimen. Even better? This vibrant splash of color is accompanied by impressive, easy growth and heat tolerance, too.

And the Summer Crush’s compact habit is one-of-a-kind. The full, dramatic silhouette grows effortlessly into a manageable mature height. Best of all, this variety is bud hardy, so you get reliable blooming on both new and old wood…a smattering of flouncy, flourishing petals that attract graceful wildlife while surviving the elements. Plus, if you change up your soil’s acidity, you get a full spectrum of color, from rich red to plush purple.

Why is Better
For starters, you get a tried-and-true Hydrangea with strong beginnings. Because we’ve planted, monitored and shipped your Summer Crush with care, for maximum success, it’s ready to go and grow. But the best part is that, since our expert horticulturists and plant specialists have hand-selected this variety and meticulously maintained it for best results, you reap the rewards of our hard work from season to season.

Basically, you get healthy, happy growth, no matter where your Summer Crush is planted in your landscape. From reliability year over year to unmatched beauty, your Hydrangea will shine. So, don’t wait – elevate your garden with the Summer Crush Hydrangea today!

Great Color!

The bushes arrived healthy and in stunning color. While they needed a lot of water to get established, they are healthy and happy in my garden. Recall that they like some shade, which was hard to find in my garden.

Gorgeous red hydrangeas

The service couldn’t have been better. The plants were in superb condition and the red was just what we were looking for. Would definitely work with FastGrowingTrees in the future.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: First, select a location with well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade – any area with approximately 4 to 8 hours of sunlight per day with a bit of dappled shade is perfect.

When you’re ready to plant your Summer Crush, dig a hole that’s about two to two and a half times the size of your plant’s root ball, place it in the hole, back fill the soil and water to settle the roots.

2. Watering: Your Summer Crush Hydrangea is heat tolerant, but it’s important to have a regular watering schedule. Water your Hydrangea Shrub about once weekly or more often in extreme heat and check the surrounding soil – if your soil is dry, about 3 inches down, it’s time to water your plant.

3. Fertilizing: Feed your Summer Crush with a well-balanced blend in early spring, before flowering begins.

4. Pruning: Remove any wild branches, or prune for a desired shape and size during late summer or fall, after flowering is complete.
