The Only Climbing Hydrangea Variety
Why Climbing Hydrangeas?
A vigorous climbing vine for arbors, pergolas and beyond, the Climbing Hydrangea delivers beauty unlike any other. It has a slow-growing, shrubby habit until it's established, and then it takes off...producing long, fast-growing stems that blanket your garden in unmatched elegance.
The only climbing variety available, this Hydrangea is so vigorous that it can cloak your home in no time. And since it's deciduous, it shades walls in summer but lets the sun in during winter, thus saving energy. With its clinging habit, it doesn't require a trellis and extends across any surface with ease.
White lacecap blooms fill your garden throughout the summer. Your yard will be full of life and color all throughout the summer as your Climbing Hydrangea blossoms. The dark green leaves and creamy petals make an excellent contrast against your landscape's backdrop, providing inexpensive yet elegant cover that's second to none.
From the cold of Chicago to the humidity of Atlanta, it thrives. Resistant to a light freeze and tolerant of fairly hot temperatures, your Hydrangea can flourish in most conditions. So, despite its delicate appearance, it's unbelievably strong.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Your Hydrangea will grow best in moist, well-drained soil. There's no need to amend your soil when planting. Be sure to also plant in a sunny area with an area to cling, such as a wall, trellis, pergola, or arbor.
When you're ready to plant, dig a hole that's about twice the size of your Hydrangea's root ball and just as deep, place your Hydrangea, and then backfill the soil. Finally, water the surrounding area to settle the roots.
If you're planting in a container, use supports for clinging purposes, select a pot that's about twice the size of your plant's shipped container, and use organic soil. Finally, place in an area that gets plenty of sunlight.
2. Watering: Water your Hydrangea weekly for the first 6 months. After this time, you will only need to water your plant when you get less than 1 inch of rain during the week.
3. Fertilizing: You can fertilize your Hydrangea every spring with a 10-10-10 fertilizer.
4. Pruning: Prune only in late autumn or early winter as the flowers begin to fade and dry.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.

- shipping complications
- shipping shock
Overall shipping and packaging was all excellent. Plant showed up looking a little fried and extremely dry. I let it sit inside in a bucket of water for a few days and the stems started looming better. I have a lot of hope for my little plant. It’s in a pot now since it’s a slow grower and only 2 qts. Only complaint is how dry it was.
We're very sorry to hear that your plant dried up during transit but appears to be perking up now! Please reach out to us if you begin to have any concerns!
So far so good. One came with shipping shock and looked touch and go but seems to be surviving.
I just received the plant and it was in pretty good shape for the distance it had traveled and the time it had been in the box. Trimmed it up a little and planted it it seems happy!
I was surprised to see how many bright green leaves this had when it arrived! It had even been delayed by a day or two because of shipping complications, but it still looked bright and happy when it arrived. I have it planted in the backyard and it looks like it's settling in nicely.
r it looks really good. I arrived in good health!
