Planting & Care
1. Planting: Select an area with full to partial sun (3 to 6 hours of sunlight daily) and well-drained soil. Hydrangeas prefer morning sun and afternoon shade.
Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the rootball of your Hydrangea Shrub, place your plant, backfill, and water to settle the roots.
If you're planting in a container, select a pot that's twice as large as your shipped container and make sure it has drainage holes. Place your Hydrangea, use organic soil mix, and find an area with morning sun on your porch or patio.
2. Watering: Water once or twice weekly. If you're not sure when to water, check your soil about 3 inches down - if the soil is dry, it's time to water.
3. Fertilizing: Use a well-balanced fertilizer, like 10-10-10, in the spring before new growth begins.
4. Pruning: It's not required, but the Wedding Gown Hydrangea can be pruned or trimmed for shaping during winter.
