The benefits of the Drop ‘N Grow™ bag…

By growing these trees in burlap bags, the roots grow into the cloth, rather than circling around a pot. This forces these trees to put out thousands of fine hair roots. These roots bring moisture and nutrients into the plants. This means you get a tree that will become established quicker and provide you with superior and faster growth.

These will be the easiest trees you have ever planted! Simply dig your hole, place the Drop 'N Grow™ bag in the center (burlap included) then use excess dirt to fill the hole. That's it!

Royalty Crabapple
Ordered two, both arrived nice and tall with nicely spaced branches. We live in Zone 6, and one didn't survive our temps. The other is doing fine, but only time will tell!

Not sure yet
I have bought from PAM's before, so I trust their trees and plants. I was quite surprised at the small root ball and the fact that large, major roots were cut so short.
I planted the tree with transplant solution, hoping the root system would sustain the tree.
No leaves have wilted or fallen off, but there are not the smallest buds visible either.
I have given it a second dose of transplant solution. Check back with me in a few months.

This Crabapple tree came to me via mail delivery in perfect condition. The tree was approx.,4 ft tall out of box with a few leggy branches and leaves. After 1 month now, we have just a few new leaves and less than 1 inch in new growth.

Royalty Crabapple Tree
The tree arrived in wonderful condition. The weather was still too cold to plant so I planted it in a temporary pot and let it hang out in the garage. During that time the tree blossomed with beautiful flowers. We have since planted it and it is coming along nicely. I would definitely recommend this tree (and Fast-Growing Trees) to a friend.

Leaves wilted when it arrived and fell off right after planting
I hope that this will recover once it has time to get over transport. We planted it with fresh organic soil and compost and are hoping for the best. I will edit review if it recovers. We planted immediately and followed planting directions.

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Royalty Crabapple Tree

Royalty Crabapple Tree Planting Diretions

Planting Instructions: The Royalty Crabapple will perform best if you plant it in well-drained soil that is mildly acidic. Incorporating 2-3 inches of compost in the soil will help water and oxygen to penetrate more evenly and greatly improve the performance of your Royalty. Place in a spot in your yard that receives full, unfiltered sun.

Watering: As soon as you plant your tree, saturate it with water. If you live in a hot or dry area, water your Royalty twice a week. Other climates can water once a week, achieving 1 inch of water each week. The Royalty performs best if water is added slowly and deeply with a drip irrigation system.

Fertilization: Add a 5-5-5 fertilizer in early spring each year to get the best performance from your tree.

Pruning: The best time to prune your Royalty is at the end of spring before the summer buds arrive. You can prune off any dead or diseased branches, cross branches or crowded areas that prevent good airflow.

Pests: Check your tree frequently for any mites or aphids. A strong stream of water will get rid of these pests. Keeping your tree well maintained will help prevent against borers. A heavy sap flow can drown them, so be sure to properly care for your tree.

Disease: If you see any signs of disease on your crabapple, including leaves that fall too early or have spots, blisters or browned edges, you should treat your tree promptly. Avoiding doing so can greatly shorten the life of your tree. Sterile pruning and a fungicide treatment are the best measures to stop disease before it takes over the tree.
