very hardy and fast growing
I bought it last year and it has more than doubled in size. It's 6 feet now. It's a beautiful red color but sometimes looks slightly dark pink in certain light.
Sick trees that never had a chance
I ordered 5 Scarlet Crepe Myrtles. All arrived boxed nicely in April. They were all stick trees when they arrived with no greenery at all. I planted them immediately and awaited new growth. They never produced a leaf. I even contacted a local nursery for assistance. I’ve had crepe myrtles my entire life and was excited to have these red ones. Unfortunately they arrived looking like they didn’t have a chance from the get go. None of them made it. In addition my 2 banana trees and organic strawberry plant didn’t make it. I won’t be ordering again. I garden and have never had so many substandard plants.
