Heat-Tolerant Shade Meets Easy Growth
Why Papyrus Plants?
Sprays of rich green foliage make the grass-like papyrus plant a perfect pick for warm environments. Its unique spindles fan out like an umbrella, making its nickname, the Umbrella Plant, particularly apt!
Even better? Papyrus Plants are heat tolerant with no deadheading necessary. And these upright oxygenators thrive in ponds, water gardens, and moist containers. Basically, they can’t be over-watered as they require constant moisture at the roots, making them ideal for new gardeners.
And since the Papyrus Plant is designed for shade, it's a super-fast grower and will mature to impressive size when replanted in the spring. It's well-suited to full sun, partial sun and partial shade on your patio, topping out at 3 to 5 feet tall. That means no green thumb is no problem since it thrives nearly anywhere.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Your Papyrus Plant needs lots of indirect, bright light. The best place for your plant is near an East-facing window that is free from drafts. When you're ready to plant, select a pot that is approximately 14 inches in diameter and use well-drained soil.
2. Watering: Allow the top layer of the soil to dry out completely, and then water deeply until water begins to drain. If the bottom leaves are turning brown or yellow, you are overwatering. If the top leaves turn brown, you are underwatering. Spritz leaves with water in the dry winter months or throughout the year if you live in a dry climate.
3. Fertilization: Feed with a water-soluble fertilizer once in the spring and every month in the summer.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.
