Vanilla Bean Plant Pollination
Vanilla Bean Plants are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Vanilla Bean Plant will drastically increase the size of your crop.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: For the best results, use well-draining soil and choose a location with filtered sunlight for your plant. An east-facing window is ideal.
Select a pot that's about twice the size of your plant's shipped container, use organic soil, and place your plant in its pot. Keep the humidity up around the coffee plant by setting it on a water-filled pebble tray in its early stages. A light misting with a water bottle in the evenings is great for a more mature plant.
2. Watering: Water once weekly with warm water until it comes out of the bottom of your pot. If you're not sure when to water, simply check the surrounding soil about 2 inches down.
3. Fertilizing: Potted plants need to be fertilized every two weeks during the growing season with a low concentration of fertilizer. The best results come from using a formula like 10-10-10 or an orchid fertilizer.

- vanilla bean vines
The packing for my vanilla bean vines was extremely well done. The vines got here with only one leaf damaged. It had gotten on top of the stake and got a hole punched through it. The leaf seems healthy except for the hole. We are already seeing growth and we have only had them a couple of weeks. I’ll let you know in a few years if we have beans. ;-)
As usual I had a awesome experience. I was emailed when they became available. They arrived quickly. I little beat up from shipping but I blame the movers not the company. I replanted immediately with a better draining soiling. I have 3 new leaf sets already and anchor roots starting to grab on to climbing stick I planted with them. Only 2 to5 more years and Ill have beans. Its ok I'm very patient. If I had any complaint it would be that they don't tell you which variety of Vanilla bean that it is. Other than that, ROCK AWSOME!!
I ordered 3 vanilla bean orchids. From the start they all seemed to be in good condition. But as time went on, two of the plants were growing taller while the 3rd remained green yet literally didn’t grow at all. I finally realized that while it was still green, the plant’s stem was brown and looked almost completely disintegrated! Still after 3-4 months, it just sits there looking exactly the same but a paler green and no growth. Hoping because of my warranty that the company replaces it. But the other two plants are doing amazing!! I have no idea what caused the problem with the 3rd...
We're sorry to hear that one of your plants didn't do well! We've activated the warranty for you!
Vine arrived on time in great shape and packaged well. After 2 weeks it has already grown about 2 inches. Will be buying again for sure.
