Blue-Green Groundcover Grows as Shrub or Bonsai
Why Green Mound Junipers?
Get bright green, strong and full foliage with our evergreen Green Mound Junipers. Noted for its ability to grow as a bonsai, this moderate-growing pick is an ideal choice for groundcover or placement in any area where shorter shrubs are needed.
Even better? The hint of blue found in its deep green tones. And it keeps its rich color year-round, with minimal bronzing in the chillier months. But the best part is that it’s easy to grow, with good drought tolerance and adaptability to pollution. In fact, it even helps clear the air and stop soil erosion!

Plant arrived very healthy. It's doing great. Nice plant with interesting texture.
Once again I am reminded of why I shop around and ALWAYS come back to Fast Growing Trees. My last shipment arrived in two days, perfectly packed, green as can be. And the price is just right. If I had gone to a big box store, I would have paid the same price, plus the price of the trip, sub-par plants to dig through, hauling them home, etc. Fast Growing Trees delivers a better plant right to my door. And by the way, I am delighted with my adorable, healthy juniper. My only problem is to decide what to buy next! Thank Ya'll so much!
I just received my juniper and promptly put it in the ground. I also purchased a kousa dogwood. Both plants were very healthy. The root systems were light and fluffy, not at all hard or compacted. I am so far very pleased.
Lovely plants, and very nice root system once we detangled them. They were getting a bit root-bound, but should be just fine.
Our little junipers are planted, and healthy as can be!
Planting & Care
To plant your Green Mound, dig a hole deep enough to cover its root ball. After placing your plant, tamp down the soil while backfilling to avoid air pockets. Finally, mulch around the surrounding soil and water to settle the roots.
2. Watering: Once established, the Green Mound Juniper is drought tolerant, but it’s important to have a regular watering schedule for best growth. Generally, the Green Mound Juniper responds well to weekly watering. You may water more in times of drought or less in seasons with heavy rainfall. If you’re not sure when to water, though, simply check the soil – about 2 or 3 inches down. If the soil is dry at this depth, it’s time to water.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your Green Mound Juniper in early spring and again in mid fall. We recommend using an organic granular or water soluble fertilizer for best results.
4. Pruning: Pruning isn’t required for your Green Mound, but if you’d like to shape it, it responds well to shearing.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately, however we are currently experiencing delays and could take up to 11-14 days from date of purchase. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.
