Floriant Flaky Juniper Shrub

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Select a site with well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and place the shrub level with the surrounding soil. Backfill gently and water thoroughly. Spread a layer of mulch 3 feet around the tree to conserve moisture, insulate the roots, and suppress weeds.

2. Watering: Water the shrub deeply once a week during its first growing season to promote deep root establishment. After that, it is drought-resistant, but occasional watering during extreme dry spells is beneficial.

3. Pruning: Minimal pruning is needed to maintain shape; however, light trimming can be done in late winter or early spring to promote new growth. Remove any dead or damaged branches as necessary.

4. Fertilizing: Fertilize once in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to support healthy growth. Avoid over-fertilizing, as it can lead to excessive growth and reduce hardiness.
