The Frost Tolerant, Seedless Mandarin

Why Gold Nugget Mandarin Trees?

The Gold Nugget Mandarin Tree is a hybrid cross between two tangerine varieties: The Wilkling and Kincy. And because it's a hybrid tree, it offers the best of two separate plants, with upright, carefree growth and unique flavor.

Gold Nugget Mandarins look more like oranges. Most mandarins take on the typical tangerine appearance, with a small stature and orange-red peel. Named for their golden yellow-orange color and pebble-like rind, they’re closer to the size of an orange, made even better by the fact that they're seedless, easy to peel, disease resistant and even frost tolerant.

Plus, the Gold Nugget has been called the sweetest, juiciest mandarin of them all. So, not only are they a delicious snack any time of day, they’re great for juicing. And you’ll receive an abundance of fruit during an exceptionally long harvest season. In fact, the Gold Nugget Mandarin Trees start blooming as early as February or March, with the fruit holding on to the tree through July and August.

Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better

Commercial grocery stores typically don’t carry mandarins because of their small size, but with our Gold Nugget Mandarin Tree, you'll have its exquisite taste in your own garden.

Imagine having your own vast supply of delicious Gold Nugget Mandarins. And the best part? Not only do we carry this second-to-none tree, but we also plant, grow and nurture it, long before shipping, so you get a healthier root system and more developed branching.

The only problem: They sell out quickly. Don't wait - get your own Gold Nugget Mandarin Tree today!

    Beautiful orange tree

This is my husband’s favorite type of oranges. We were so excited to see they sold them! The tree arrived in excellent condition and has been growing for about a year now. No fruit yet, but we did get some beautiful blooms. Really looking forward to having our first fruits!

High hopes, but alas. . .

The tree came to me just before the winter hit where I live, and it can relatively healthy. A bit a yellowing on the leaves, but nothing that some grow lights didn't fix once I brought it inside. I watched as the grafted scion of the mandarin slowly died from September to now in February, first from the leaves falling off, which I believed was typical of plants that are shocked from being taken inside, and then the graft began to brown and shrivel up, and at the time of writing this review, the graft has completely died, rendering the plant useless. I believe it may have been over watering that killed it, as I previously tried to keep a calamondin tree that I got from Walmart alive, but the same thing pretty much happened to it as well. I got the tree on a 60% to 50% sale anyway, so it wasn't to much of a loss of money for me. I think I personally may try to grow citrus again when I get a greenhouse or anything like that in the future, but not soon
