The Most Unique And Hassle Free Tree in Your Garden!

This tree will stand out in your landscape as a prize possession. There's no other tree like the Weeping Persimmon. Standing at 25-30 ft., this tree grows in a columnar shape with a spread of only 5-10 ft. The branches fall down in a weeping fashion, while still maintaining the tight columnar form. You will be fascinated by this majestic tree's one-of-a-kind shape.

Taking care of this tree is unbelievably easy. A little bit of water and a little bit of fertilizer is all the Weeping Persimmon needs in the first years of its life. A simple routine of caring for this tree in its youth will lead you to a lifetime of having this visually striking beauty in your yard.

The Weeping Persimmon will probably outlive you. Most Weeping Persimmons live up to 75 years, which means your family will get to enjoy this remarkable tree for years to come.

Not only is the shape spectacular, the colors are widely stunning. The early spring will give you thick jade-green leaves that begin to produce magnificent urn shaped ivory flowers as spring progresses. The leaves then begin to turn into spectacular shades of fire engine red, vibrant yellows and deep oranges. You may even get bright orange fruit hanging from bare branches in the winter.

You might just get to taste the sweetest fruit you've ever had. The Weeping Persimmon is self-fertile tree, which means you do not need another persimmon to get fruit. The persimmons from the Weeping Persimmon are nearly 30% sugar making them one of the sweetest fruits around.

Persimmons are not only sweet they are incredibly healthy. If your tree bares the tempting fruit, don't be fooled by the sweetness. Persimmons have lycopene, lutein and a host of vitamins that will help you maintain excellent health.

Wildlife love the fruit. Expect to see an abundance of creatures feasting on the sweet fruit of the Weeping Persimmon. They can't resist the sugary flavor.

The Persimmon is abundant in the wild, but not in your neighbor's yard. Many homeowners are only now discovering the appeal of the unique and fascinating Weeping Persimmon. Though persimmons commonly grow in the wild in Southern states, it was only recently that people began to see the benefits of growing one for themselves.

The trend is catching on so don't hesitate. This incredible tree will stand out in your yard as a unique and magnificent showpiece. The weeping, columnar shape and the vibrant colors will mesmerize your family and friends. Don't let your neighbors beat you to it!

I don't know man, I bought this tree late last May 2017 from a local garden center. It was about 6ft tall with... some leaves. I followed the planting instruction and planted it on the second day I brought it home. I live in south Jersey, planting zone 7? I'm not sure. The guy at the garden center told me it might have some fruits before winter. Yeah right! Now it is a little one full year since I planted. The tree looks healthy. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. But it does not have Ny more leaves than it was a year ago. Yes, I did trim 2 small branches because they were very low near the ground. With or without those 2 branches, the tree does not look any better or worse. My tree seems to freeze with time. It does hot want to grow any bigger. What gives?

p.s. I took 3 pictures. But the dumb ipad air does not allow me to upload them. The instrucions in the app tell me to change my Privacy settings. How? Can you be more specific?

Very responsive service, thatnk you
I bought Magic Fountain™ Weeping Persimmon tree in late fall / early winter and it didn't leaf out in spring. These things happen for dormant persimmon trees per time - cannot blame anyone.
Contacted Fast-Growing-Trees support and was immediately sent a replacement tree - no charge, no question asked.
I got new tree several days ago, obviously at the end of May it's in active phase. Looks pretty good, I planted it ASAP.

Shipping was fast and it came in a very good condition. It's too early to say about the product. It had some fruits on it and it was our first fruit tree so we didn't know we have to some how protect it from squirrels, so they ate the fruit not even giving the opportunity for it ripe. Oh well you learn from your mistakes. Hope next year we will have some fruits.

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Magic Fountain™ Weeping Persimmon

Magic Fountain™ Weeping Persimmon Planting Diretions

Planting Instructions: Plant your tree in a hole about 3 times the size of the pot it comes in. Mix the soil with 50% compost. Be sure to plant in a place with full sun. Make sure your Weeping Persimmon's top most roots sit at the soil line. Add 4-6 inches of mulch around the base of the trunk, leaving a couple inches of empty space between the trunk and the edge of the mulch.

Watering: Weeping Persimmons need a good amount of water in their first year. If you have clay soil, you only need to water your tree once a week. Light soils will need watering twice a week. In either case, you need to deeply water the roots for about 40 minutes. Your tree should receive around 1 inch of water each week. If you are having an especially dry season, you'll need to water more frequently. Fruit drop indicates that you need more irrigation for your Weeping Persimmon.

Fertilization: Fertilize your tree each year with a 10-10-10 w/minerals fertilizer. You will need 1 cup for each year of the tree's life. For example, a 2-year-old tree will need 2 cups total for the entire year. Spread the fertilizer evenly under the entire tree canopy starting with 5 inches out from the trunk and moving to the edge of the canopy. Proceed to water or rake in the fertilizer. After 3 years, switch to a low nitrogen fertilizer and apply once a year in February (Zones 8-9) or March (4-7).

Pruning: There's no need to prune your Weeping Persimmon. If you want to maintain a certain shape, feel free to prune as needed. If you harvest fruit from the tree, you can prune an open center for easier access to the fruit. You can also remove large branches in the center for better airflow throughout the tree.

Pests and Diseases: Good watering habits, feeding and removing rotten fruit and dead branches should prevent any infestation or disease.

Harvesting Fruit: You will need to leave the fruit on the branch until it is very squishy and jelly like. Persimmons that are still firm are not ripe and will be extremely astringent. Waiting until the fruit is fully ripe will give you an extremely sweet fruit that is often compared to the flavor of maple jelly. If your tree produces fruit and it falls from the branch, clean up the fruit to prevent pests and diseases.
