Planting & Care
1. Planting: First, find an area with full sun to partial sun (4 to 8 hours of sunlight) and well-drained soil, or select a container with drainage holes for planting. Just be sure to shelter from the hot afternoon sun.
Once you’ve selected a location (or your container, which should be twice the size of the shipped container), dig a hole that’s around twice the size of your plant’s root ball and just as deep, with a bit of extra room to grow. Then, place the shrub, tamp down the soil and water to settle the roots.
If you're planting in a container, ensure it has drainage holes and use organic soil mix. Then, place in a sunny area on your porch or patio.2. Watering: Generally, you should check your soil about 2 to 3 inches down for dryness. If the soil is dry here, it’s time to water. Watering about once or twice weekly is a good rule of thumb.
3. Pruning: Pruning is unnecessary, but if you’d like to shape your Flaming Glory, simply trim up the edges after blooming has stopped. And of course, remove any damaged or dead foliage.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.
