Why Lemon Grass Plants?
The tall, perennial Lemon Grass Plant grows quickly and emits a citrus scent (and flavor!) you'll love. It's known as a natural insect repellant, but it's a versatile pick that's also ideal for cooking.
Use your Lemon Grass stalks to flavor stir-fry, soups, sauces, and more. The culinary uses are limitless! Its leaves and stalks are chocked full of vitamins A, B, C, & E and are a great source of potassium, magnesium, and zinc.
Even better? It's a survival plant. The oil of the Lemon Grass plant is a natural antibacterial and antifungal agent, and is used in many homeopathic formulas.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Select an area with well-drained soil and full sun - about 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day, and avoid locations with strong winds or rain.
When you're ready to plant, dig a hole twice as wide and about 2 inches deeper than the root ball. Place the Lemon Grass, back fill the soil and water thoroughly when planting is complete.
2. Watering: When the top of the soil feels dry, water your Lemon Grass. You may need to water more often in hot and dry conditions, but generally, checking your soil for dryness, and watering when the first 2 inches of soil is dry, is best.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize in the spring and again in the fall with 10-5-5 or 20-10-10. Always follow manufacturer’s label directions.

Plants arrived in great shape. Establishing themselves well
This is a wonderful plant but it will take over your garden! It will become HUGE and impossible to ****. It's growth can be at the expense of your other plants in its location. The plant is so tough I needed to yank the plant and its deep taproot out of my bed with my truck!.
I have not seen them in bloom yet because they are turning brown I think because it is getting cold and late fall! I sure hope they grow to be like the picture
Delivered on side so some minor breakage. A bit smaller for a 3 gal plant but still good quality. Looks great with companion lavender and lantana. Looking forward to a well established plant next year.
It arrived brown and limp but smelled wonderful. I have kept it in the shade and trimmed it as per directions and will plant it when it's stronger. The box directions which showed which way to face it/ open it were covered. I opened it standing up which was unwise since I didn't know which way was up and it was delivered upside down.
