Most Mountain Hydrangea varieties prefer full sun to partial sun (or a minimum of 4 hours of sunlight daily), well-drained soil, and some shade from the harsh afternoon sun.

Generally, Mountain Hydrangeas also like to be watered about once or twice weekly. And if you're not sure when to water your Mountains, just check the surrounding soil about 2 inches down.
