Tall, Strong, Beautiful Tree

Fast Growing Tree That Will Reach 50’ Tall

A hybrid of the Silver and Red Maples, the Celebration Maple is a deciduous accent tree that gets energetic growth from the Silver Maple side of its family. The excellent grower elevates at a stellar rate of 3-7 feet per year, making it a great choice for homeowners (zones 4-8) who can’t wait for a tall yard tree.

If you want privacy quickly, you’ll save years with the Celebration. The high-performance hybrid delivers incredible growth, looking more each year like a property fixture that’s been there for generations.

One of the Most Striking Trees of Autumn

As autumn sets in, you’ll adore how the deeply cut, classic maple foliage ignites in bright yellow-orange and red-orange hues. In fact, the Celebration Maple is prized by plant aficionados for its stunning fall displays. The Celebration’s colors are present throughout the entire fall season, so expect to enjoy them day after day, while the beautiful tree becomes the talk of your neighborhood.

Withstands Snow and Ice with Vigor

At the point that other yard trees can break down under harsh weather conditions, the Celebration Maple stands tall and strong.

Its exceptional durability lies in a stout branch caliber and inherent storm-ready structure. With a strong central leader and sharp-angled branches, the Celebration easily shoulders the weight of snow and ice and the strain of severe wind.

This maple tree develops an upright, pyramidal form with a dense crown that resists breakage. Expect your Celebration Maple to remain with you through all the weather’s ups and downs, surviving and thriving.

Low Maintenance Shade Tree for Multiple Purposes

The Celebration Maple never fails to impress as an ornamental tree for any yard. It also makes an excellent street tree in urban and suburban areas. Growing upwards of 50 feet, the tall tree provides ample shade. Because of its structure, you can plant the Celebration Maple 15 feet from buildings and roads and count on it to stay out of the way.

It does best in full sun and in rich, well-drained soil. The high-tolerance tree has no major insect or disease issues and survives periods of drought.  It’s also naturally seedless, saving you the hassle of cleaning up those pesky ‘helicopter’ seeds every year! Just stand back and appreciate the low-maintenance yard fixture, as it adds fantastic appeal to your home.

A Wise Investment.  80+ Year Life-Span

Because the sturdy Celebration seldom breaks, it makes a great investment. Rest assured that you’re gaining a vigorous, hardy tree that will live a long life. With optimal care, expect the Celebration Maple to live 80 years or more.  This handsome companion that will stand by your home for decades.

Trees arrived in good shape, some wilted leaves. Planted 2 days later and weather turned cold, freezing then warmed up. Leaves turned and have dropped off. Will have to wait until spring to see if they come back strong. Until then, hard to rate.

Remarkably fast growth
I planted a 14 foot tall Celebration Maple exactly two years ago and it is now over 26 feet tall! Beautiful habitus with amazing growth, with new leaves appearing even now, in early September. If you wish to have a high canopy with space to walk around under the tree be sure to prune lower branches in the spring so that the nutrients and energy flow preferentially to the upper branches.

Growing Zone:
Nothing special.
Compared to product received from other online providers, the packaging with minimal. The top of the tree of cut off so it would fit in the box and the amount of root soil was minimal. The trunk of the tree at ground level was twisted and 3 inches higher it looked like a major branch had previously but extracted. The tree, however, seems to be doing well at this time because of my care and watering. We'll see after the winter and check on the growth in the spring.

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Celebration Maple Tree

Celebration Maple Tree Planting Diretions

Location: When fully grown the Celebration Maple tree is broad with a low-growing canopy spread of at least 20 feet, so plant the tree 15 feet or more away from buildings or structures. The tree grows 45 feet in height, so avoid planting the tree under powerlines. Plant the Celebration Maple tree in USDA plant hardiness zones 4-8. It can withstand wind, ice, snow, storm damage and thrive in areas of urban smog pollution.

Planting Instructions: The Celebration Maple tree grows best when planted in full sunlight. When it receives at least 8 hours of sunlight per day, its autumn colors are exceptional.

The tree is highly tolerant of soil conditions and grows well in any soil pH. Ideally, the tree does best in a soil pH range of 7 to 8.5. It can even tolerate standing water for short periods of time.

Dig a hole that is twice the size of the tree’s root system. Place the tree into the hole and gently spread out the roots. Mix ample organic matter into the soil and tamp it down around the tree’s roots to remove all air pockets.

Place a two to three-inch layer of mulch beneath the tree (but not touching it) to prevent weed growth and help keep the tree’s root system moist.

Watering: For the first year after planting the Celebration Maple tree, keep the roots moist but not overly wet. Once a week watering is usually sufficient. After the tree has established itself, only water during periods of drought.

Fertilizer: Fertilize the Celebration Maple tree in the spring. During the tree’s first few years of growth, use a general purpose fertilizer that has a slightly higher phosphorus ratio to encourage the tree’s roots to grow. Read the instructions on the fertilizer and apply it at the recommended ratio.

Staking: The young Celebration Maple tree only requires staking in areas of excessive wind. If the tree stands shorter than 12 feet then a singular, low stake is all that is required. A tree that stands 12 feet or more will require two stakes.

Pests and Disease: The Celebration Maple tree is virtually pest and disease free once established.

How late in the season can this tree be planted?
Mary Kay B on May 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You can plant at any time, if you can get a shovel in the ground then you can plant. The key factor being that amount of water and care that would need to be given. Planting in fall/winter/early spring, while they are in their dormant stage helps them get their roots, established without having to give nutrients to the rest of the tree. Also, with extra care you can plant in the summer, by planting in the evening after the sun goes down, so it will not get leaf burn. Giving it extra water and putting a 3-4 inch of mulch (keeping a few inches away from the trunk) to help retain moisture during hot dry weather.
