Easy-Growing Strawberries for the Golden State

Why Strawberry Trees?
Delectable fruit, graceful evergreen branching and eye-catching cinnamon-colored bark define the Strawberry Tree, a hassle-free variety that imparts year-round interest you’ll love. Even better? This specimen is grown specifically for the Golden State, so it’s poised to succeed in your California landscape.

And it’s unbelievably effortless. Not only does it offer masses of white blooms that transition into edible strawberry-like fruit, but it’s also simple to grow in a number of ways: From a focal point in your front yard or a border along your driveway. Plus, it can grow as informal hedging, too, and is highly drought tolerant, no matter where it’s placed.

Why is Better
But the top perk is that we’ve hand-selected this variety. Our local experts and plant specialists have chosen this Strawberry Tree for California locales because it’s a proven performer. Planting to growing and shipping, we ensure that you get the best of the best on the market…now, you reap the rewards.

Looking for fresh fruit and hassle-free ease, right in your California landscape? Look no further…and get your own Strawberry Tree today!

Pollination Info

Strawberry Tree Pollination

Strawberry Trees are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Strawberry Tree will drastically increase the size of your crop.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: First, select a location with well-drained soil and full sun to partial sun (about 4 to 8 hours of sunlight per day).

When you’re ready to plant, dig a hole that’s about two times the size of your plant’s root ball, in terms of width, place the Strawberry Tree in the hole, and back fill the soil. Finally, water the area to settle your Strawberry Tree’s roots.

2. Watering: Once established, your Strawberry Tree is highly drought tolerant, but it’s important to have a regular watering schedule for the first few growing seasons. Water about once weekly or check the surrounding soil for your tree. If the surrounding soil is dry about 2 or 3 inches down, it’s time to water your Strawberry Tree.

3. Fertilizing: Apply a well-balanced fertilizer to your Strawberry Tree in spring, before new growth appears.
