Contemporary Color and Shape

A wonderfully braided stem and healthy large foliage reminiscent of the tropics: the Dracaena Bi-Color Braided Plant is an impressive pick. It ticks all the boxes of a house plant must-have. What else sets this bold botanical apart? For one, it boasts dark red outer edged leaves are complemented by a green center.

Even better? This amazing little tree can be used as an accent or extrordinarily tall floor plant. As an interior plant, it’s a wonderful accessory to any décor. Display it as a tabletop centerpiece or let it grow into an impressive focal point that can reach a height up to 8 feet.

And if you reside in Southern Florida, it will flourish as an outdoor tree. You can expect this exotic beauty to reach up to 15 feet in height when planted outside, especially since it boasts no-fuss maintenance for even the most forgetful gardeners. Best of all, when it's grown in this region, your Madagascar Dragon Tree will have the added benefit of fragrant flowers at the end of the stems, as well as orange and yellow berries for dimensional visual interest.

When it's grown indoors, this plant desires bright but indirect light for effortless ease. It can tolerate low light but prefers high humidity and well-drained soil for best results, along with an interior temperature between 65 and 75 degrees. From there, it's as easy as 1-2-3. Simply sit back and watch the gorgeous growth emerge.

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Dracaena Bi-Color Braided Plant

Step 1: Dig Your Hole

Select a site with full to partial sun and moist or well drained soil for your Dracaena Bi-Color Braided Plant.

First, dig each hole so that it is just shallower than the root ball and at least twice the width.

Then loosen the soil in the planting hole so the roots can easily break through.

Use your shovel or try dragging the points of a pitch fork along the sides and bottom of the hole.

Step 2: Place Your Plant

Next, separate the roots of your Dracaena Bi-Color Braided Plant gently with your fingers and position them downward in the hole.

The top of the root flare, where the roots end and the trunk begins, should be about an inch above the surrounding soil.

Then make sure the plant is exactly vertical in the hole.

To make it just right, use a level.

Step 3: Backfill Your Hole

As you backfill the hole, apply water to remove air pockets.

Remove debris like stones and grass and completely break up any dirt clumps.

Water your Dracaena Bi-Color Braided Plant again after the transplant is complete.
