Contemporary Houseplant with Amazing Color and Shape

When you receive your Dracaena Bi-Color Braid (aka “Madagascar Dragon Tree”) you’ll find it’s complete with a braided stem and healthy large foliage reminiscent of the tropics.  Dark red outer edged leaves are complimented by a green center.  The foliage grows in an upward stiff pattern to reveal its magnificent color.

The Dragon Tree Can Be Used as an Accent Plant or an Extraordinarily Tall Floor Plant
There are various ways to grow the Madagascar Dragon Tree. As an interior plant, it’s a wonderful accessory to any décor.  Display it as a table-top centerpiece or let it grow into an impressive, tall floor plant that can reach a height up to 8 ft.  Consider this as a stand-alone accessory to your home or office or as a complement to an existing arrangement.

If you reside in southern Florida, it will effortlessly flourish as an outdoor tree.  You can expect this exotic beauty to reach up to 15 ft. when planted outside

No Fuss Maintenance for Forgetful Gardeners!
Minimal grooming is required to keep its shape.  If pruning is not your thing, it will easily take off as a natural, tall addition to any room.

Requiring water only once a week, the resilient, easy to grow plant is forgiving if you under-water it.  It can literally dry out and bounce back with ease.

You’ll find that it simply doesn’t need a lot of attention to look amazing.  An ideal choice for a busy homeowner or businessperson who wants to enjoy its beauty with no fuss.

Sunlight Requirements: Indoor vs Outdoor Growth
Southern Florida residents will be able to grow outdoors in partly sunny to partial shade areas. When grown in this region, your Madagascar Dragon Tree will have the added benefit of fragrant flowers at the end of the stems, as well as orange and yellow berries.

When grown indoors, this plant desires bright, but indirect light.  It can tolerate low light, but it won’t produce the most significant color that it’s capable of.  It prefers high humidity and you should keep the soil well drained as to not oversaturate the soil.  Be sure to maintain an interior temperature between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

These are in stock now, so place your order before they’re all gone!

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Dracaena Bi-Color Braided

Step 1: Dig Your Hole

Select a site with full to partial sun and moist or well drained soil for your Dracaena Bi-Color Braided.

First, dig each hole so that it is just shallower than the root ball and at least twice the width.

Then loosen the soil in the planting hole so the roots can easily break through.

Use your shovel or try dragging the points of a pitch fork along the sides and bottom of the hole.

Step 2: Place Your Plant

Next, separate the roots of your Dracaena Bi-Color Braided gently with your fingers and position them downward in the hole.

The top of the root flare, where the roots end and the trunk begins, should be about an inch above the surrounding soil.

Then make sure the plant is exactly vertical in the hole.

To make it just right, use a level.

Step 3: Backfill Your Hole

As you backfill the hole, apply water to remove air pockets.

Remove debris like stones and grass and completely break up any dirt clumps.

Water your Dracaena Bi-Color Braided again after the transplant is complete.
