Carefree, Richly-Colored and Lush
Why 'Dracaena' Corn Plants?
Adaptable and totally lush, the Dracaena Massangeana Cane, also known as the Corn Plant, is known for its versatility, compact size and slow yet steady growth. It’s perfect for first-time plant owners as well as those who are away from home often. Why? Well, because it's low-maintenance and luxuriant.
For starters, unhurried growth means little need to prune. Furthermore, there is no need to second-guess the best location when growing indoors. You can place your Corn Plant practically anywhere, from a dull hallway to a spot with bright indirect light, and it will thrive.
Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better
Huge, lively green leaves with yellow pops of color take center stage on Dracaena, though. And because it grows up to 5 feet in height, it's uniquely impressive. You can even combine a few Corn Plants in the same container, staggering their heights to ensure the most robust and lush appearance.
But the best part is the fact that our Corn Plants arrive from our nursery, straight to your door, healthy and ready-to-grow. You get a more developed root system and a head start for your homescape...an experience you won't get from big box or other nurseries.
Classic, one-of-a-kind beauty that's eye-catching, delivered right to your door. Order your cool and crisp Corn Plants today!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: During the winter months, the Dracaena Corn Plant enjoys bright light. As for spring and summer, it does well with indirect light and dappled shade. Just be sure to keep it away from drafty areas and excessively hot or cold areas in doors.
When you're ready to repot your Corn Plant, make sure there are adequate drain holes in the bottom of the container. And select a container for your plant that's about twice the width of your plant's root ball.
2. Watering: Water your plant lightly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy. A good rule of thumb is to put your finger in the soil to check its level of moisture. There is no need to water your Corn Plant until you have a full inch of dryness starting from the top of the soil.

The Corn Plant arrived safely overall. Some dirt was disturbed, but that's to be expected. I've had it for a few weeks now and there is something that looks like mold or fungus on the top of the soil. The leaves are okay overall--there's only a few brown spots. I haven't watered it very much since it is a low maintenance plant, and now, frankly, I don't know when I should or if I need to replace some of the soil. Still, I had a good experience with other plants I ordered--I'm just not sure about this one.
This Plant was obviously very healthy with beautiful green leaves when it was packaged. However, packaging was inadequate. When I unpacked most of the soil was outside of pot. Shipping services did not follow direction to keep package flat. Package was upside down. Roots were damaged. I was able to replant it but plant started to get sick. I was not sure it would survive. I contacted customer service which was excellent. They promise to ship me a new plant if this one does not survive. I decided to keep current one since after 2 weeks it started to feel a bit better. It is still not out of the wood but I hope it will survive. I do not have space for second tree and current one is still alive so I will keep it but I hope they will package it better or change shipping service. On top of not following directions shipping service left package next house down the the street.
Potted dracaena arrived in good health and is happily sunning in a NE window. Soil was overflowing pot, which probably helped keep root ball happy! Best to unpack outdoors or where a little dirt won't bother you. Same plant at my local nursery is twice the price! Very happy. :]
My plant arrived healthy and well planted! It had a few bent or broken leaves but that's about it despite being delivered to my apartment on its side. It was packaged well enough to be protected and remain planted. I had visited two local plant stores and decided to take a chance on ordering online. I couldn't have been happier as my plant was healthier out of the box than the two I had seen locally.
All I can say is WOW! I was not expecting this plant to arrive out of the box like this! It is huge and stunning. It's been in a box for 4 days! It has 3 staggered heights and the main trunks are thick and heavy. The leaves are vibrant and it's such an incredible accent piece to my home! So very pleased with my purchase and you won't be disappointed if you order one! I haven't taken the plastic wrap off yet as I need to support the trunks better as some soil was spiked in transit but it is a magnificent plant!
