Red Fall Color, Broad Spreading Shape on Low Habit
Why Wireless® Zelkova Trees?
Prized for its lower profile, broad branching, and copper red fall color, the Wireless Zelkova Tree is a landscape favorite. Unlike similar varieties, the Wireless Zelkova has a smaller size, cultivated to fit into smaller yards or gardens.
The Zelkova is also famous for its smooth, dark brown bark and deep green, feather-shaped foliage that transforms into a dramatic scarlet hue.
Because of its unique shape, the Wireless Zelkova Tree provides shade or visual interest to wide areas, like in patios or under power lines along the street. And since the tree’s branching grows higher on its trunk, it's perfect for creating elegant shade in your landscape.
Even better? This Zelkova is hardy and strong. Thriving down to -20 degrees, this formidable shade tree does it all.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: The Wireless Zelkova is easy to plant in your yard. Because of its tolerance to most soil conditions, you can plant this tree anywhere you like as long as it’s in full sun (6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day). Adding mulch to the base of your tree will help keep the moisture in and prevent competition from weeds and grass. You don't need to add anything to your soil when planting - simply plant in a hole twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball.
2. Watering: This tree can tolerate wet or dry conditions. Be sure to water the tree weekly in its young life to ensure proper growth. After a couple of years, you only need to water the tree during very dry spells.
If you're not sure when to water, simply check the surrounding soil about 3 inches down. If the soil is dry here, it's time to water your tree.
3. Pruning: Remove dead bark and branches in the fall.

First tree came damaged and I received the replacement quickly. Thank you for your quick handling. Here in TX it pushes 115 degrees. I have kept my eye on the tree and keeping it moist in a large planting pot. Due to the excessive heat the leaves are shriveled but what can you expect due to the heat. I will be transplanting tree tomorrow morning.

IM HOPING THIS WILL SOLVE THE NEED FOR SHADE FROM THE WESTERN SUN ON MY DECK.

My zellkova tree
I’m so pleased, the tree arrived in perfect condition. I planted in a large outdoor planter and it is thriving. I’ll plant it when I where it’s home wil be…so many choices. I may have to get another.

My first tree looked and acted dead
But you never know. After about 2 weeks I realized it wasn't growing at all. No a stray living leaf or branch on the tree. I was so sad. I chatted with FGT and they sent me a new one. Can't believe this new one. ALIVE lots of branches and beautiful green leaves. Tall too must me at least 6-7 ft. Don't bother researching or Googling ANY OTHER tree site. This ONE FGT is the only one you need. I bought an Autumn Blaze Red Maple in 2019 and can't even tell you how great that tree is doing. Even after the deer "nibbled" off about 3 inches of the main trunk. I've done NOTHING to it except water, mulch and use a TREE Gator. I'm 70 so I need FGT, LOL. Save time and buy here Every Time. MY MacIntosh tree was almost decimated by deer but it's doing good now. So is my honey crisp. I don't think the deer like it. Apples on that planted in 2018. I found some deer repellent for my trees. Everguard.
