Why Variegated Dwarf Umbrella Trees?

If you love the Dwarf Umbrella Tree, you'll love this eye-catching variety! The Variegated Dwarf Umbrella Tree, or Schefflera Trinette, has all the benefits of the original Umbrella Tree - but with variegated foliage in hues of deep green, yellow and creamy white.

Ideal for growing indoors or out, this Schefflera makes a statement as a house plant, around patios, or planted as a landscape shrub in warmer climates (growing zones 9-11). With its low-maintenance growth and year-round, multicolored foliage, this attractive plant is an all-star wherever you place it.

True to its name, the Variegated Umbrella Tree's unique foliage grows upwards and out in a symmetrical, umbrella-like circle. You may even see your Schefflera flower with long red spikes!

The brightening effect of yellow and white variegation adds color and dimension to sunny indoor corners and green garden beds alike. Plus, they're incredibly easy-care. You won't want to miss this versatile tree!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: During the winter months, the Dwarf Umbrella enjoys bright light. As for spring and summer, it does well with indirect light and a bit of dappled shade. However, the Umbrella Plant prefers warm temperatures, so be sure to keep it away from drafty areas.

When you're repotting or planting your Umbrella, select a container that's twice the width of the shipped container and one that has drainage holes.

You can also plant your Umbrella Tree outside as a landscape shrub in warmer climates - they're extremely popular for this use in Florida!

2. Watering: Water your Schefflera Plant lightly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy. A good rule of thumb to keep in mind: Put your finger in the soil to check its level of moisture. There is no need to water your Dwarf Umbrella until you have a full inch of dryness starting from the top of the soil.

Love this plant!

I love my Variegated dwarf umbrella tree! I lost one recently in a move across states. It arrived in great condition, I gave it some water and repotted it after about a week or so. It's thriving and has lots of new shoots. I love purchasing from Fast Growing Trees - the quality and service is always great!
