So far so good

I planted my Valencia Pride Mango 10 days ago. So far no leaves have fallen and it really looks good. ! Just hope I am not too far north for the tree to grow and survive. I had one when I lived in Port Charlotte, FL. Two hurricanes took it out and my neighbors called me to get the name. Seems my tree down there has been feeding the entire neighborhood!!!

Valencia Mango

Recently received a Valencia Mango tree. Looked healthy upon arrival. Had some new leaves near the top that were a very light almost white color. Figured they just needed sunshine. Planted the tree in our yard on a slope so there would never be any drainage issues. Tree seems happy. But the light white leaves haven't turned green at all. Not clear to me of perhaps they grew in darkness in the box and wont get color or not. Keeping the soil moist but letting it dry out on the top inch or so betw÷n watering. Been mixed cloudy and clear here in San Diego coastal area. Hopefully this little guy kicks in over the summer and does well.
