Great Tasting Strawberry that's almost Invisible to Birds & Pests
White Pineberry Strawberry plants are the fastest growing strawberry trend. Their unique look with white skin and red seeds is highly sought after. Not only do they have an amazing look, but they're extremely flavorful as well.
These hybrids have a sweet, but tart flavor that's similar to the way a pineapple tastes. They also have a firm texture, with flesh that's juicy and soft on the inside, like a strawberry. These two characteristics combined give this popular fruit its 'pineberry' name.
Birds and pets are attracted to berries with bright red skin. Because Pineberries have white skin they are often invisible to prey, meaning you won't have to worry about critters stealing yor fruit.
Pineberries are exploding in the culinary scene. Pies, jams, and recipes have never been better thanks to these strawberry hybrids. You don't have to bake with them to enjoy them. Simply pick a few for a fresh healthy snack. Their delightful scent will make your mouth water before biting into them.
Luckily these berries are easy to grow both in the ground, and in containers. Plant a few in your garden, or keep them in containers on your deck or patio in order to supply yourself with tons of delicious Pineberries.
You'll amaze your friends once you start growing these berries that look like strawberries, but have white skin, instead of bright red. Most people have never seen them before, and will keep coming back to your garden to take a peek at them.
Pineberries are fun to grow. They produce the small white flowers before growing large unique berries. They're cold hardy, and can be grown in Northern states. Even if your area gets too cold for this plant, place it in a container and bring it indoors once it starts to get cold.
Pineberries aren't widely available, and they sell out fast. We recommend getting yours today, before they're gone.

Pine berries

Awesome plant
Plant came in great condition, flowering and full
Before & After
Yes, I'm attempting to grow Pineberries in Zone 9, SW Louisiana! You have to give some grace to the shipping process, but trust that FGT has sent you plants with well developed starting roots. See as arrived vs ~2 weeks watered and some sunshine. It had flowerbeds upon arrival but I was told to pull them off and let the energy be focused into large leaves. Larger leaves will bring larger fruit like regular strawberries, we'll see!
Finally have pineberries!
I’m on year three of trying to grow pineberries. I didn’t have luck with bare roots year one so I got these from FGT on year two. They had flowers but didn’t produce berries despite being next to my strawberries. They stayed healthy over the winter and had lots of flowers in the spring of year three. I tried manually pollinating them and wasn’t hopeful because they were just hanging out as my strawberries started turning into fruit, but last weekend I noticed there was a berry! It’s May 1st today and I just harvested my first pineberry. It was delicious. There are so many more tiny pineberries that I’m hoping to watch grow large. The plants themselves are shooting off runners everywhere, I will let a couple grow into new plants. The berries seem to grow differently than strawberries, they seem to stay tucked inside their leaves as the berries form.
Jury is still out on the strawberries. . . .
I ordered several plants and trees this year from FGT and so far have been pleased with almost every purchase but I regret ordering the strawberries. I ordered 4 white pineberry strawberries (mainly because I thought the variety would help my regular strawberries produce more) and they all arrived with brown spots on them and were thrown around in transit. I keep hoping to see new growth but the flowers keep blooming and then wilting and turning brown, they dont look much different than they did when they arrived. I did also order 10 regular everbearing strawberries which were brutally mangled in transit and even they seem to be doing better than these . . and that's not saying much - I am a new gardener though and the season is still early so I'm hoping they surprise me after some tlc and eventually become big healthy plants. Hope to update later this season with a better review!
