Grow Your Own Juicy Dessert Pears!
The Luscious Pear lives up to its name. Like the Bartlett, only sweeter and juicier, the Luscious Pear has become an incredibly popular variety for anyone looking to grow their own pear tree. One of the best varieties for cold Northern regions, you'll love having a Luscious Pear tree in your garden.
So much to do with all those pears! Because the Luscious Pear has a sweet, smooth, melting flesh, it gives you plenty of ways to get creative in the kitchen. You'll definitely enjoy eating the ripened fruit, but imagine how impressed your guests will be when you serve them caramelized pears with savory dinners, or how much your family will love the smell of pear compote simmering on the stovetop.
The Luscious Pear tree is quite beautiful too. The sweetness of the pears gets a lot of attention, and for good reason, but the Luscious Pear tree itself is stunning.
Clusters of large white flowers pop in spring. Their fragrance is mildly sweet and only adds to the appeal. Then, in autumn, the pears begin to ripen and the leaves turn a bold red to burgundy.
The early autumn harvest is an impressive sight. The medium-sized pears, bright yellow with blushes of red, will ripen in early September, just as the leaves begin to change from green to red. The display of colors is magnificent and will complement both the evergreens and autumn foliage of your landscape. In Northern climates, early harvests mean pears won't get damaged by the frost.
Be sure to plant two to three different varieties to get the best results. Luscious needs a pollinator to produce fruit; however, it is not a good pollinator for other pears. For this reason, planting three different European varieties like Summercrisp, Bartlett, Bosc, or D'Anjou is ideal for the best harvests.
Enjoy your own harvest in just a few years. It takes 3–5 years for your tree to bear fruit, so make sure you order your Luscious Pear tree today, so you can start to enjoy these juicy, sweet pears as soon as possible.

Much better than expected.
This pear tree arrived in perfect condition. The leaf development was a couple of weeks ahead of the native trees so I kept it in the pot and inside at night when we had a few frosts. It is now planted and doing great. I am very pleased and am preparing another spot for a new fruit tree next spring.
Very Beautiful Tree
It came very healthy and strong. Quick shipment and easy to plant
Luscious Pear
After receiving my Luscious Pear tree in less than two days, I planted it immediately in early May. I may be pushing the growing zone limits with this lil guy here in South Carolina, but it has survived the hot summer and has recently really started pushing out some new growth. It even gave us two little flowers! Looking forward to some tasty pears someday. I'm very happy with all the trees I've gotten from this website.
