Fiery Colors & Compact - Perfect for Every Yard
The Amur Flame Maple is a superior maple, ideal for most landscapes. This tree has it all - stunning features, including a dazzling autumn show - all in a compact, resilient, and adaptable package. You'll find endless spaces in your yard where the Amur Flame Maple will perfectly stand out.
Named "Flame" for a reason, the autumn show is stunning. Though the Amur Flame Maple is well loved for many reasons, it's really the scarlet colors of autumn that steal the show. Imagine the possibilities of adding this deep red color to your yard as a complement to other fall colors or a contrast against your evergreens.
Spring brings undeniably appealing features too. The Amur Flame Maple doesn't just show off in the fall. Spring brings a bouquet of dainty pale white flowers delicately scattered over bright green leaves. With a sweet floral fragrance too, this tree will enchant your senses.
The summer show teases you for the fall. Like all maples, the Amur Flame grows double winged samaras in the warmest months. These delightful seeds appear bright red at first and slowly fade to brown as the temperature drops. Eventually, they scatter away as the green foliage turns red. Putting on a mesmerizing show, the samaras twirl as they fall adding another feature you'll love about this tree.
Create a stunning line of trees to charm your guests. Maxing out at 20 ft., the compact Amur Flame Maple is perfect for creating a brilliant border for large landscapes or a long driveway. Plant several along a path and create a gorgeous entryway to come home to everyday.
Small, urban landscapes can show off the Amur Flame Maple as a specimen. With such a compact size in a tree that's highly adaptable to most soil types and environments, you can create a dramatic showpiece no matter how small your yard is. As long as your soil is well draining and isn't finely textured like clay, the Amur Flame will adapt and thrive - in sun or shade! But plant it in sun for even more brilliant colors.
Size and shape are your choice. The Amur Flame Maple is so adaptable; it's easily pruned and trained to be whatever size you want. Need a small shrub? Just prune and shape as desired. Need a compact, single stemmed tree? No problem. Cut away all but one stem and you'll have a solid, single-stemmed, rounded tree. Not picky? Just let it grow and your Amur Flame Maple will present a multi-stemmed, rounded 20 ft. tree. This adaptable tree lets you be in charge of how you want it to grow.
No maintenance at all. Whether you live in the coldest state in the US, the dry west coast, or the hot and humid south, the Amur Flame Maple can thrive in your yard as long as it's not too soggy. Cold hardy and drought tolerant, you don't need to worry about weather. This tree really loves to grow, and the only maintenance you'll need to do is ensure it grows only where you want it. That's easy to do - just mow your lawn to break up the seeds!
Maple trees have always been a favorite. The Amur Flame Maple was brought to the US in the early 1900s, and people quickly fell in love with its small size, adaptability and fiery colors. It remains an extremely popular tree; so don't miss your chance to add it to your landscape. Order as many as you need today!

Packaging was great and I planted right away! But not real happy wanted more of a tree look.
I'm waiting to see what my little tree will do! Was alittle disappointed thought it would be more like a tree maybe 4 inches on bottom to plant the tree looks like a bush. Has no trunk where you could cut limbs to make it lol like a tree with a trunk of i did that the tree would be totally bare.
A bush not a tree.
It arrived OK and in good condition. But it had 4-5 main stalks like a bush. I Iopped all but one of the stalks and planted it in the lawn per the directions provided. It remains to be seen if it will survive the amputations. I suggest that the company commence trimming some of the maples as trees and ship those to people who want trees not bushes.
Flame Amur Maple
Our flame amur maple arrived in good condition and was about a foot taller than expected. We planted it a few weeks ago and it's looking great. I can't wait to see it in the fall!
I was very pleased with the condition of the plant. Leaves on it and nice root system ! I would buy my next tree/shrub from you guys!
Planting & Care
Your Amur Flame Maple will grow in any spot in your yard that gets full sun or partial shade, but more sun will produce brighter colors in the fall. This tree is also adaptable to all pH levels and most soil types except finely textured soils like clay. Amur Flame Maples do not like excessive water, so be sure to plant in a spot that is very well draining. Plant in a hole twice as wide but just as deep as the root ball.
Watering: Water deeply after planting to establish the roots. You won't need to water your tree again after this. If you experience severe drought in the first year, you can water weekly to help it establish, but even this is unnecessary.
Maintenance: There is not additional maintenance needed for your Amur Flame Maple. You can prune it down to any size you like, and you can also prune away stems to create a single-stemmed tree. Again, this is unnecessary, and only dependent on your preferences.
