A Stunning Tree That's Nearly Indestructible

The Ginkgo Tree is often called a living fossil, having been around for over 200 million years…

Cared for by Chinese monks, the Ginkgo Tree has been nurtured and loved for centuries.

That's why it's one of the hardiest and most adaptable trees you can purchase.

And the Sky Tower Ginkgo gives you all of these benefits in a compact and dense tree that only grows to 15-20 ft. tall and 5-10 ft. wide.

· Totally adaptable - will grow in any soil or environmental condition including salty, polluted air and poor soil.

· Extremely hardy - tolerant of the heat of zone 9 and the cold of zone 3 all the way down to -30F

· Zero maintenance - plant your tree and then just watch it grow… there's seriously nothing else to it and no diseases or pests to worry about.

While the hardiness and durability is definitely something to brag about, the standout feature is really how gorgeous this tree is.

The fan-shaped leaves grow in a tight formation around this conical tree…

with a stunning deep green in the spring and an outstanding fall display of bright, mesmerizing yellow.

Whether you create a captivating display in your small yard with a single tree or add a row of Ginkgos to your expansive landscape…

You and your neighbors will be enchanted by this gorgeous tree that will live for hundreds of years.

Fingers Crossed
Very well packaged, arrived in better than expected condition. Delivery took a week. I wish the website would show examples of what you were actually going to receive to help determine size and space needs. I'm hoping for the best as this guy is pretty small!
Can't wait to watch it grow. Finished the first week in Nov (zone 8a) and I see no color change.

Super happy!
Fast, reliable service and tree was well-protected by packaging. I bought it for the bright yellow Fall color, although I only ordered it mid-Fall, so I was expecting it to show off next year. To my surprise, the little little tree was full of green leaves. I planted it right away and now the leaves are turning yellow. Awesome!

I was very skeptical about ordering trees on the internet but decided to give it a go because we don't have the big selection in my area of unique trees. I ordered two trees and the process and quality was seamless. Trees came quickly and very well packaged. The size of my trees were larger than I thought which is what I wanted. I will be ordering from them again.

Despite the grower's name, this is a slow growing tree, which is what I need. So far it is happily sitting in its spot. I'll maybe notice in a year if it is 3" taller. Has every leaf that it was wearing when it came out of the box in Indianapolis..

Not much to talk about.
They arrived in good condition. I planted them immediately. I have not seen any new growth since planting them. The foliage has not died or appear distress. It appears they r sleeping in preparation for creeping nxt growing season.

So far, so good!
purchased 2 4-5 ft Sky Tower Ginkgo' mid June. They arrived with their soil shifted, but looking healthy. I watered them, kept them in the shade for about 10 days before planting. Wanted them to orientate to the back yard and recover from their trip.
Planted them, and although 1 had a leaf that turned brown and died, it also sent out a branch. I do need to go turn the tree a little as the branch is growing straight for the fence behind it. All in all, they are looking good!

Planting & Care

It's Easy to Plant & Care for Your Sky Tower Ginkgo

Sky Tower Ginkgo Planting Diretions

Plant your Sky Tower Ginkgo in a hole twice as wide, but just as deep as the root ball. There is no need to amend the soil. After planting, add a layer of mulch to help the ground retain moisture. Water deeply after planting to settle the roots.

Watering: Watering is only necessary during dry periods, especially while it is establishing.

Fertilization: You do not need to add a fertilizer. Ginkgos are slow-growing, but fertilizer will not speed up the growing process.

Pruning: No pruning is necessary.

Pest and Diseases: The Sky Tower Ginkgo is not effected by any pests or diseases.

The Ginko leaf is a common, and beautiful, symbol in the Arts and Crafts tradition and the color during Fall cannot be excelled. It really gives me a sense of serenity and I hope to be able to see it everyday from my own window.

I need a pair of trees that won't get too wide or too tall for 2 small planting areas flanking a large doorway of an old barn. The shape, fall color and interesting leaves are what made me choose these trees.

I am looking to plant within 15 or 20 feet of my house. Is there going to be an issue with the roots and my foundation?

Does this tree (Sky Tower Ginkgo) lose its leaves in the winter, and how many hours of sun &/or shade does it do best, when receiving it?
Faye B on Sep 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It is a deciduous tree, meaning it will lose its leaves every fall/winter. It should be planted in a location that receives about 6 hours of sunlight a day.

I would like to plant four of these in a row along my curb... how far apart should I space them?
Jason P on Jul 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They should be planted about 10 ft. apart, center to center.
What time of year is best for planting Sky Tower Ginko tree?
Robin W on Nov 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I live in Southern Pennsylvania. I planted one in the spring. It's doing well. I've always been told plants concentrate on root growth in the fall. I wouldn't shock one by putting it in frozen ground in the winter. I think it is really going to depend on your zone. Best of luck, it's a beautiful tree.
Some ginkos drop smelly seedpods (or something) and many cities have removed their ginkos for this reason. Are these trees like that?
Bradford T on Aug 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: All of our Ginkgo trees are male, which means they do not drop any seed pods.
Are you giving answers to questions any longer. I really would like to know if these are on their own roots or grafted? Thank you.
blvolk b on Jun 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Mine arrived with their own roots...the packaging was just a bit below par from FGT standards - first couple of weeks the trees showed signs of shock - six weeks later all is good, new leaf growth and looking forward to great fall colors here in W. PA
We live in florida
Is this a good area for this tree ?

How do Sky Tower Ginkgos hold up in strong winds?
John B on Sep 20, 2018

Can I plant a sky tower ginkgo in a planter and if so how big of a planter should I get?
Mari-sol G on Aug 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I planted mine in the ground so not sure about a planter. It will grow to 15-20’ tall and it is columnar in shape so needs to have enough room for roots to support height of tree. Roxanne
can I put in a large planter box?
