Show-Stopping Pink-Cream Blooms in One
Why Vanilla Strawberry ™ Hydrangea Shrubs?
These flowers live up to their name. The deliciously named Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea produces incredible white, pink and deep red blooms. Like a strawberry shortcake, these flowers are irresistible. You (and your neighbors) will stare at the gorgeous blooms that appear year after year!
The flowers bloom throughout the warm months. The blooms begin as a creamy white and then turn to an irresistible pink, finally transitioning to a deep red and burgundy. And since the flowers bloom throughout the spring and summer, you'll get all three hues at the same time.
Even in winter, the Vanilla Strawberry ™ brings visual interest to your yard. As the cooler months set it, the blooms turn an interesting parchment color. The stems can vary in color and sometimes present a bright red, making a unique contrast.
And pollinators love the bright colors of the Vanilla Strawberry ™ Hydrangea. If you want to attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and beneficial bees to your yard, then this plant is the way to go. You'll love watching all the precious pollinators dance around the brightly colored blooms in the spring and summer.
Forget about maintenance...just enjoy the flowers. The Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea isn't finicky, so you don't have to worry about annoying upkeep. And it's one of the hardiest hydrangeas available. This plant simply wants to soak up the sun and show off its stunning beauty - no pruning, no fertilizing, and no guesswork required.

On the way to success year one
Delivered March 23rd on the Eastern shore of Maryland zone 8A. I was initially skeptical. Structure was okay though it required trimming of some inward branches but it was all bare branches. Got it in the ground early April and had to cover it during two unusual late freezes. It is now late May I am so very happy with this plant! Don't know if she'll bloom this year but it certainly looks like she's got a happy permanent home where she is. FGT was the first online source I tried years ago and remains one of my favorites. Great customer service, they stand behind their one year guarantee, And they usually have larger plants than other sources. From them, I've purchased trees, shade perennials, agapanthus, shrubs, and one (my first) rose. The jury is still out on the Don Juan Rose, and I won't review until I can post pictures of success or failure. . . But I have been so happy with everything else apart from needing to correct some pruning. I'm sure I will be with that as well.
Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangeas
My plants seem to be very happy. They are still growing and just beginning to form bud clusters. Doing beautifully! Can’t wait to see them bloom.
Strawberry vanilla hydrangeas
Arrived as planned, well packaged and beautifully healthy. Thanks for growing a a product we can count on starting out ahead of expected.
It's too early to know yet.
It's growing but hasn't bloomed yet. The ones I purchased in the past are gorgeous and I'm hoping this one will be the same.
2nd year hydrangea
Purchased these last year when dormant. They were a bit disappointing at first, stems were thin and weak, blooms were falling over. Staked it and then aside from watering, basically left it alone. Stems appear more sturdy so far this Spring and it's leafing out like crazy! Hoping for many blooms that will stand up this year!
