Why Red Delicious Apple Trees?
For one, it’s America’s favorite apple. The Red Delicious is widely grown because of its delicious flavor, fast and easy growth, as well as its adaptability to a variety of soil types.
That’s right: America's favorite snacking apple is low-maintenance and ultra-productive, too.
Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better
Our Red Delicious Trees are in a league of their own because we plant, monitor and nurture them well from day one. Because we’ve grafted our varieties from proven mother stock, you get a consistent, high-quality performer that provides fruit in just one year. We even give your apple tree one final pruning before shipping at no additional cost to you. This process also allows the tree to remain "dwarfed," which makes harvesting a breeze!
And though you do need a pollinator to ensure your Red Delicious performs, we have the perfect pairing: Our Granny Smith Apple Tree. Another low-maintenance variety that offers the key for healthy, hearty, heavy fruit production.
Looking for a heavy performer of your own? Look no further – order your own Red Delicious Apple Tree today, before they’re gone!
Red Delicious Apple Tree Pollination
Red Delicious Apple Trees are not self-fertile. You will need to plant another variety to achieve fruiting. Below are the most effective pollinators we have chosen for your area...
Planting & Care
1. Planting: For best results, find a location with well-drained soil and full sun - about 6 hours of sunlight per day. Once you've selected a location, dig a hole that's twice the width of the root ball and just as deep. Then, place your tree, back fill and tamp down the soil, and water to settle the soil. Finally, mulch to retain moisture.
*Tip: Make sure your mulch is not touching the base of the trunk.
2. Watering: Your Red Delicious Apple will benefit from a regular watering each week, though you may have to water more during times of drought. If you're not sure when to water, simply check the soil down to a depth of about 2 or 3 inches - if it's dry here, it's time to water.
3. Pruning: Once your tree has become established and is starting to bear fruit, it will need some periodic, moderate pruning. Only prune the tree during times of dormancy, making sure to remove any vigorous, upright stems and weak, damaged or dead branches.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.

Red Delicious in memory of my Redish Golden
After my little girl Diamond passed, I wanted something to memorialize her. It was late in the year and i went to the web to find exactly what i needed that could be planted and live. Thank you. After watering it, I am hopeful for it to live thru the winter, norther Illinois on the Wisconsin border.
Red Delicious Apple Tree!
I was so excited to receive my red delicious tree. It arrived right on time and in perfect condition!! I am looking forward to picking my own apples right of a tree in my yard. I love fast growing trees and would recommend it to anybody who wishes to grow their own fruit!
Although I just purchased this tree, I am hoping for the same success we had with our 4 in 1 apple tree. Every year, we have plenty of apples. Great trees purchased here.
Can't review a tree until it has had time
Shipping was fast. No apples yet. Wished it had been burlap bagged but oh well. Planted 30 ft from FGT Montmorency Cherry and 10ft away from Gurney Goldrush and Honeycrisp (centered between the 2). Should all intermingle in time. Goldrush has some nice apples for first true bear (yr2 since planting) .... Honeycrisp nothing. Hoping the Red Delicious makes Honeycrisp Happy! Might have to install wireless communication.
