Sweet Flavor and Home-Grown Harvests in Small Spaces

Why Blushing Delight Columnar Apple Trees?

Sweet flavor and pretty red-green apples await! With the Blushing Delight™ Columnar Apple Tree, you'll have home-grown harvests of your own, even in tight spaces.

The Blushing Delight produces its fruit on spurs along the main stem, so you don't need a lot of room to grow them. Plus, it merges disease resistance with a narrow, upright habit, making it perfect for placing nearly anywhere.

You can grow your Columnar Apple in a container on a patio or as a small tree in the ground. Either way, you'll have an easy, delicious harvest of fruit in the first few seasons.

Why is Better.

We’ve planted, monitored, and nurtured your Blushing Delight from day one. Grafted and grown from consistent, proven rootstock, this dwarf variety gives you the same great results season after season.

Get tasty, plump apples, right from your backyard, garden, or patio. Order your own Blushing Columnar Apple Tree today!

Pollination Info

Blushing Delight™ Columnar Apple Tree Pollination

Blushing Delight™ Columnar Apple Trees are not self-fertile. You will need to plant another variety to achieve fruiting. Below are the most effective pollinators we have chosen for your area...

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Select an area that receives approximately 6 hours of sunlight per day. Once you've selected a location, dig a hole that's twice the width of the root ball and just as deep. Place your new tree, backfill the hole, and then mulch to preserve moisture. Finally, water to settle the roots.

*Tip: Make sure your mulch is not touching the base of the trunk.

If you're planting in a container, choose a pot (with drainage holes) that's about twice the width of your tree's shipped container. Use organic soil, place your tree, and backfill. Water to settle the roots after you've planted your tree.

2. Watering: You may need to water more often in times of extreme heat or drought. However, if you're not sure when to water, simply check the surrounding soil about 2 or 3 inches down. If the soil is dry here, it's time to water.

3. Pruning: Once your tree has become established and is starting to bear fruit, it will need some periodic, moderate pruning. Only prune the tree during times of dormancy, making sure to remove any vigorous, upright stems and weak, damaged, or dead branches.

Very tall and leafy apple tree

It was a very healthy looking tall tree. It has plenty of leaves and had one tiny baby apple growing but it fell off shortly after receiving the tree. I will have to wait for next spring for it to flower and hopefully have some apples. It is planted in a container and as long as it makes it through the winter, I hope it flowers around the same time as my scarlet sentinel and golden sentinel trees. This tree is much taller than those trees.
