Perennial Color to Warm Up Your Landscape
Why Prairie Fire Daylily Plants?
The Prairie Fire Daylily is beloved by gardeners for its sunny yellow color, offset by a center ring of coral red. It boasts huge blooms, with the 5 inch, six-petaled flowers characteristic of daylilies.
This hardy perennial will return year after year with little coaxing. Thriving in northern climates as well as humid southern areas, this Daylily is adaptable to a variety of soil conditions, resistant to most diseases and pests, and is virtually weed-proof.
The Prairie Fire Daylily blooms in mid-summer when other flowers have faded, making it perfect for a multi-season garden. They're perfect planted along a walkway or border, or in an ornamental planting along with grasses or small shrubs. You can even place them in pots around a patio or entryway!
Sunny color, easy growth and consistent blooms are sure to warm up your landscape, year after year.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Select an area with full sun for your Prairie Fire Daylily (anywhere that receives 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day).
To plant in the ground, select an area with well-drained soil, dig a hole large enough to accommodate your Daylily's root ball, then place your plant. Finally, backfill the soil and water the area to settle your Daylily's roots.
To container plant, select a pot that's about twice the size of your plant's shipped container, use organic soil, and place your plant with the soil in its new pot. Also, ensure your new pot has drainage holes.
2. Watering: Generally, you'll want to water your Daylily about once a week. If you're not sure when to water your plant, simply check the surrounding soil for dryness about 2 inches down.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.
