Why Nelly Moser Clematis Vines?

If you want a vine to cover a fence or trellis that is lovely to look at, easy to grow, and not on the deer's favorite list then you need Nelly Moser Clematis! This charming white and pink flowering vine fits into any landscape design from the frigid north to the hot and humid south.

Nelly Moser Clematis enjoys full sun but can tolerate some afternoon shade where it can brighten up a shady corner on warm afternoons. Plant the vine in well-drained soil close to a fence or other structure that you want it to climb on. The vine will grow steadily throughout the year, producing a flush of large white flowers that are tinted with bright pink every spring.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant your Clematis in a spot that receives full sun but is safe from cold, dry winds. If you need to plant your Clematis in the shade, make sure the shade is open and warm. Shade over the roots can be helpful but not necessary. Plant in a hole that is twice as wide but only as deep as the root ball. Do not over-cover the top of the root. Water to settle.

2. Watering: This vine can tolerate wet or dry conditions. Be sure to water the vine weekly in its young life to ensure proper growth. After a couple of years, you only need to water the tree during very dry spells. Avoid overwatering if you live in a humid climate.

3. Pruning: Pruning is not necessary and can inhibit growth if overdone. Only prune overcrowded or tangled areas in late winter.

Nelly Moser Clematis vine

My overall experience was great! I planted my vine 2 weeks ago and I already have new leaves and a tiny amount of growth.
