Why Montmorency Cherry Trees?
These large, bright red cherries are the USA's most popular cherry and you can grow them in your own yard – the Montmorency Cherry Tree is in a league of its own. Plus, they product buckets of juicy cherries with a uniquely tart flavor, so you’ll have plenty for your favorite recipes.
And since they’re self-fertile, you’ll only need one for a huge amount of fresh cherries year after year (though more trees = more cherries for you). Even better, the Montmorency is low-maintenance, so it’s hardy down to -20 degrees and thrives in a variety of soils across the country.

So far so good!
tree arrived looking healthy and in one piece. Super excited about having it be part of the garden.
Poor condition, poor quality, not worth the money
I purchased a Montmorency Cherry Tree (5–6 ft. ) from FastGrowingTrees and paid extra to upgrade to the larger size, expecting a healthy, well-established tree ($140). Unfortunately, what arrived was a very disappointing specimen. The tree consisted of only three small main branches with approximately ten leaves total. It looked sparse, stressed, and nowhere near what I expected for a premium-priced 5–6 ft. tree. To make matters worse, within one week of planting, the tree began showing signs of shot hole disease despite receiving proper care. I followed recommended planting practices, watered appropriately, and provided the tree with the care it needed. The disease appeared almost immediately after planting, leading me to believe the tree arrived in poor condition. For comparison, I purchased a Montmorency Cherry Tree from my local nursery that was 6–7 feet tall, significantly fuller, healthier, disease-free, and cost only $80. The difference in quality was remarkable. Between the poor condition of the tree, the disease issues, and the premium price charged for what was delivered, I cannot recommend FastGrowingTrees. I regret not purchasing all of my trees from my local nursery instead.

In the ground
My trees and blueberry bushes arrived very well packed and in good condition. All plants are in the ground and doing well so far. Can’t wait to see them with fruit on them.
So excited about my cherry tree
It arrived packaged neatly and safely. The Cherry Tree was in excellent condition.
