Planting & Care
1. Planting: The Crusader Hawthorn can tolerate nearly any soil type but prefers full sun. Place in a spot in your yard that receives full sun.
Once you've selected your location, dig a hole that's large enough to accommodate the root ball, place your tree and backfill with soil. Water the surrounding area to settle the roots.
2. Watering: The Crusader Hawthorn is tolerant of nearly any climate, from wet to dry. If you're not sure when to water, simply check the surrounding soil about 3 inches down and water when dry.
3. Fertilizing: Add a 5-5-5 fertilizer in early spring each year.
4. Pruning: The Crusader Hawthorn will maintain its shape without excessive pruning. Prune as needed to shape or remove dead branches. However, the Crusader Hawthorn blooms on old wood - pruning after bloom will eliminate fruit.
Crusader® Hawthorn Pollination
Crusader® Hawthorns are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Crusader® Hawthorn will drastically increase the size of your crop.
Estimated Shipping Time: Most orders ship immediately. As noted on the website, some items are seasonal, and may only ship in spring or fall. Once your order is shipped, you'll receive an email with a tracking number.

Customer Reviews & Photos
I was pleasantly surprised to see it bloom within a couple weeks of planting. It was a nice sized 6' tree.
The tree arrived in a healthy and great shape, and it is growing well in our land now.
