Versatile and Vibrant
With vibrant color and visual interest that are second to none, the Croton Mammy Plant is well-suited to any home décor or landscape. And because it's low-maintenance and lush, it elevates the comforts of home while doubling as a conversation piece, effortlessly.
Amazing green, yellow, red and purple leaves grow upward in a spiral-like fashion, lending even more eye-catching elegance to the Croton Mammy. Its unique shape and array of hues set it apart, especially since it's the epitome of tropical beauty, even through the winter.
When the cold winter months leave you pining for warm summer days, the Croton Mammy fits the bill. This tropical plant can thrive indoors in a container year-round, in fact. Just place it in a sunny East or West-facing window and enjoy the same color and vibrancy that’s found in the tropics, each and every day.
Even better? It's a landscape superstar. When it's planted outdoors in the proper zones, the Croton Mammy won’t reach the colossal height characteristic of those in the tropics, but its 3-foot stature still impresses.
We’ve meticulously curated the Croton Mammy for best growth, so it's a prime pick that absolutely wows. Is there anything this amazing little plant can't do? Order your own today!

Planting & Care
The Croton Mammy grows best in USDA hardiness zones 9 – 11. It needs six to eight hours a day of sunlight and thrives in high humidity.
It can be grown indoors in a container, and requires full sun from an east or west-facing window. If this is not possible, a grow light will be necessary to sustain its vibrant colors. It shouldn’t be placed in an area where temperatures dip below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
You’ll want to dig a whole that is twice the diameter of the container it was delivered in. Place in the ground and fill in the space around the roots with the original soil and a good commercial potting soil.
Planting in Container
For potted plants, make sure you have an adequate draining system. Cut more holes in the bottom of the pot if necessary, to ensure the water runs through completely. Avoid rock soils containing high pH levels or elevated levels of calcium.
Your plant’s soil should be dry an inch down from the top of the soil. Avoid over-watering. One way to tell if you’re overwatering is if it starts to wilt. On the other hand, if you don’t water it enough, the leaves will dry up and fall off.
