Product Description
Large, 6-inch Flower Heads All Summer!
One of the extremely popular Mop Head Hydrangeas, with large, rounded blooms heads.
Beautiful blooms all summer.
Nikko Blue bears long-lasting large, full blooms during the summer months. The colorful flowers flourish throughout the bush, not just on top, and their rich color is outstanding. Neat and uniform, it makes a unique hedge. Just a single plant makes quite the impression. Scatter a few throughout your yard or garden for a spectacular display of color that typically outlasts your perennials in the mid-summer heat.
Easy to Grow
This type of hydrangea grows quickly to its full size. It only takes two or three years for this beauty to reach its mature size of 6 feet. Each summer it returns as a nice, full, rounded plant with no pruning.
Versatile Color
Did you know you can control the color of the flowers? Although this type of Hydrangea favors the blue spectrum, they may occasionally arrive pink. This is due to the alkaline nature of our nursery water. You can change the color by simply adjusting the pH in your soil. For blue, adjust the soil to a higher acidity. And if hot pink is your preference, just add more alkaline to the soil.
Multiple Uses
Nikko Blue Hydrangea blooms last a long time and make excellent cut flowers for romantic bouquets, or vase arrangements inside your home. Easily dry them to create a flower arrangement that you can enjoy all year. They're an unexpected and delightful addition to a Christmas wreath and make a magnificent dinner centerpiece.

Hydrangea
Arrived in fairly good condition. Has required a lot of watering to keep from wilting. Hopeful it will last for years to come!
Beautiful Plant but does not grow as advertized.
I have had this plant for about 5 years now. That is an estimate. I bought it here at Fast Growing Trees. I live on Long Island NY zone 7. I get beautiful Blue flowers every summer However the plant is no bigger than the day I bought it. It pretty much dies to the ground every winter then comes up from the bottom of the ground in early spring. By late June or early July it is covered with flowers. But it never grows any taller.
Died
the plants arrived fine I followed the instructions but they died. The shipping speed was pretty slow so the roots probably died during shipment
null
Still no blooms. Leaves browning.
Nikko Blue Hydrangea
loved the plants. arrived safely packaged and in a timely manner. they are growing nicely so far. my only concern is that i read in the instructions after i received it that they may bloom pink depending on the ph level of the soil they are planted in. i have no idea how to check that so i'm hoping i just have good luck.
Planting & Care
Nikko Blue Hydrangeas prefer slightly acidic soil but will adapt to your natural soil even if it's sandy or heavy in clay as long as it's well draining. Keep your soil moist, not over saturated. Nikko Blue Hydrangeas need about an inch of water a week.
Fertilize your Nikko Blue Hydrangea in the early Spring and late Summer with an acidic fertilizer. Nikko Blue Hydrangea blooms first emerge in the Summer and last into the fall. If your blooms are dull or off color add sulfur to your soil.
