It was an educational journey!
I got my oak tree alive and healthy. I planted it right away. It was mostly bare root in a little bit of soil. Within the first few days it looked terrible. The leaves were browning and crumbling and it looked wilted. I gave it a couple of weeks and it got slowly worse. I was concerned so I contacted support with. They assured me everything was fine and this was root shock. They educated me on better mulching, watering schedule, and general information on young oaks focusing on root growth. Many weeks later I’m finally getting new growth and the tree seems to be thriving. My only comment I would give is that fast growing trees could provide some more specific pictures of what a tree might look like, what to expect, root growth habit, etc. maybe that’s all on the site but not easily accessible.

Over a foot
Good morning, my Shumard Oak tree has grown well over a foot since planting him last spring. Just so ya know, his name is "Larry".
Doing Good
It took until the cold weather was gone and the weather had changed to warmer. It seems like the tree is a little slow to wake up, but it is getting a little greener and putting on some leaves 🍃! I leave a water hose at the base of the tree and I water it twice a day for 3 minutes.
