Narrow, Upright Growth + Unmatched Hardiness
Why Regal Prince Oak Trees?
Delivering unmatched upright growth, not usually seen in the Oak family, with amazing cold hardiness, the Regal Prince Oak Tree lives up to its name. It gives you an elegant, upscale look plus unbelievable strength and classic shade.
The Regal Prince's branches slope upward in a narrow, cylindrical habit, putting a unique spin on the typical shade form. That means you can plant your Oak as a front-yard focal point or in a border along property lines, driveways, streets, and beyond. Glossy dark green foliage adds to the visual interest, transitioning to brilliant yellow in the fall.
Even better is the fact that it's extremely cold hardy, standing up to wind and ice like a champ. The Regal Prince gives you beauty and brawn, especially since it's also resistant to powdery mildew, which often causes problems for similar varieties.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Regal Prince Oak in a spot in your yard that receives at least 4 hours of direct sunlight each day. And pick a spot that will give this tree plenty of room to grow.
From there, dig a hole large enough to accommodate your tree's root ball. After you plant the tree, tamp down the soil until it is firm. Thoroughly water the base of the tree so that water penetrates the roots, and spread a good amount of mulch around the base of the tree to retain moisture.
2. Watering: Watering deeply, once a week, should be enough to help your young tree establish roots. If you're not sure when to water, simply check the surrounding soil about 3 inches down - if the soil is dry here, it's time to water.
Once your tree matures, you only need to water in the dry seasons where you get less than 1 inch of rainfall per month.
3. Fertilizing and Pruning: Fertilizing once a year and occasional pruning to thin overcrowded branches is ideal for the healthiest growth.

The FedEx delivery was quick. The tree was well hydrated and protective packaging was perhaps the best I’ve seen.
