Kindred Spirit® Hybrid Oak Tree

1. Planting: Choose a location with plenty of sunlight and well-drained soil for optimal growth. Dig a hole that is twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball. Place the tree in the hole, ensuring that the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil, and backfill gently. Water the area thoroughly after planting.

2. Watering: During the establishment period (the first year), water your tree deeply once a week unless there’s significant rainfall. Once established, it can tolerate moderate drought; however, regular watering during dry spells will promote healthy growth.

3. Pruning: To maintain its desired shape and encourage healthy growth, prune any dead or crowded branches during late winter or early spring before new growth begins. This tree generally requires minimal pruning due to its naturally appealing form.

4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth begins. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for application rates. Avoid over-fertilizing, as too much nitrogen can result in excessive leafy growth at the expense of overall vigor.
